💜Teddy is ready for a special home. Please read FULLY before applying💜

Ted is a 6 year old bichon and terrier cross who came to us from the wardens after he was found in a terribly sorry state.

He’s had a good groom & vet check and is feeling much better. He originally could not even mobilise without his matts pulling.

He’s a sweet boy who enjoys fuss on his terms but isn’t a fan of being picked up especially without warning.

Ted does have some reactive tendencies on walks so we are looking for an experienced home with people who can manage this properly. We are starting to muzzle train him so that these risks can be reduced significantly. Ted does now have a bite history after an incident of redirected aggression towards another dog when the other dog was allowed to directly approach him by its handler. It is a shame a mistake by a stranger led to this but these incidents can happen as sadly not everyone has their dogs under control and is respectful towards other dogs in public.

Given his past & some of his behavioural issues, Ted cannot live with other dogs or children but IS ok with cats in his foster.

We are happy to explain Ted’s needs in further detail with any suitable potential adopters.

Ted will benefit from a s
dog experienced home who is capable of giving him very clear boundaries and structure in a kind way as Ted will push boundaries. A home with a big secure garden will be ideal and someone committed to using a muzzle when out and about.

Ted is neutered, vaccinated, chipped & is up to date with flea & worm treatment. He is in foster in Blackpool but meet & greets can be arranged in Melling also should a suitable applicant request this. Ted does still need a dental which we will cover when he is settled in his new home.

Our little Rodney is ready to find his forever home 💜

Rodney is around 1 year old & came to us as an unclaimed stray from the wardens. He was in a terribly matted state and also came down with pneumonia from kennel cough picked up at kennels. He needed intensive medical care to get him back on track and ready for his next chapter.

Despite everything, he’s come on great in his foster home & is house trained. He loves cuddles and is a proper lap dog & also loves his toys.

He is a very energetic boy and can get a bit mouthy when playing (like a pup).

He is fine being left for short periods of time & hasn’t shown any sign of being destructive during these times.

He walks well on a lead & is good with other dogs. He is also good in the car. He is not fully cat tested but has been fine at the sanctuary when they have walked past him.

Rodney is nervous until you gain his trust. He can therefore be weary of new people & can bark & be snappy if his personal space is not respected. We will not home him with children due to these behaviours. With sensible introductions Rodney will settle with new people but as with all dogs with these issues, they will require sensible management when visitors come to the house and failure to do this can have dire consequences for Rodney. Once Rodney trusts a human, he is the sweetest most loyal boy you could wish for. His snappiness with strange people is entirely predictable and reasonable due to his background but very easily managed in the right home with someone experienced and willing to follow advice.

Rodney is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped & had us up to date with flea & worm treatment.

Rodney will suit an active adult only home who is preferably savvy with nervous small dogs and around most of the time to keep him company and continue his training. Any existing resident dogs must be neutered.

Echo is searching for a loving foster home!

Handsome boy Echo is looking for a foster home to call his own. His fosterers need to be able to offer him a pet free and child free home where he can settle and continue to flourish. Being a medium to large boy, you’ll need to be able to manage him when out on walks as he’ll be naturally strong on his lead. You’ll also need to be at home most of the day to provide company and cuddles!

Echo is very intelligent and responds well to positive, treat-based training. He is a gentle boy who shows no aggression to other dogs or people.
