We are very excited to announce that Tania Grantham is booked in to do a Pole Clinic here at Imagine Dressage Ltd & Yeguada Lago on the 2nd of June. Normally she doesn't come this far west, so we feel very honoured!

Here is a little bit of information on Tania:

Grand Prix dressage rider Tania Grantham is a pole work specialist, rider and trainer, based in South East England.

Tania’s incredibly innovative and fun pole work layouts have earned her a large social media following, with her videos enjoying over a million views a month - and these numbers are growing!

As well as frequently posting videos of her pole layouts, Tania candidly shares her own highs and lows as a trainer, rider and competitor, forming solidarity with her followers by sharing her own triumphs, challenges, mistakes and solutions with genuine warmth and humour.

Tania competes her own horse, Samarino (Sam), at Grand Prix and rides, trains and competes Seni Ilustrisimo III (Igloo), Seni Usio V (Norman, whom Tania co-owns) and Roquito (Rocky) for owner Michelle Van Meurs.

With Igloo, a Spanish stallion by Seni Indio, Tania represented Great Britain at the MCI Europeans in Belgium where they achieved team silver and individual silver in the Lisboa. In 2023, the combination won the Prix St George PRE class at the British Dressage Associated Championships.

Tania is author of the unique training book “Polework Journal” and co-host of popular equestrian podcast “Poles, Piaffe and Prosecco”. Poles, Piaffe and Prosecco Podcast

Group sessions are £45 per person and 4 horses per group. Tania has a 4 group minimum for this clinic. But the more groups the merrier.

He has awesome potential as a dressage horse, he is very sweet and loving. Good to catch, barefoot, generally a low maintenance lad that can live in or out. Turns out with mares, geldings or youngsters.

Víctor Álvarez Díez was born in Barcelona in 1959. He began riding in 1967 and in 1977 he began to dedicate himself professionally to Dressage. His career as a Dressage rider is full of awards in competitions at the Catalan, national and international level.

As a rider and trainer, he is one of the most recognized professionals nationwide. He has given clinics all over the world, having been to England, Belgium, Holland, USA, Ecuador, Botswana and Russia. He is the reference at CAVA Horse, a center that he has directed together with his wife, Maya Pou, since 1990.

Many of his students have obtained medals at national and international level and have been part of the teams that have represented Spain in different European Championships.

Having trained with great equestrian leaders such as Theodorescu or Rehbein , Víctor relies on technology based on classical horsemanship, the values ​​of the training scale and a very clear concept of efficiency and respect for the horse.

If you ask him what gives meaning to his life, the answer is frank and immediate "My family, my horses and my profession; in this order."

Adam Kemp - FBHS

Adam needs little in the way of introduction to Dressage enthusiasts around the globe. He is a highly sought after teacher, trainer and coach.

Adam’s career started at the Talland School of Equitation at the age of 16. He left school and was offered a scholarship to train under Molly Sivewright and Pammy Hutton. This training course ended up being 14 years in duration! During this time he passed all the BHS teaching, riding and horse care examinations, culminating in being awarded the Fellowship of the British Horse Society in 1995 having passed the gruelling 3 – day exam. During this exam he was examined in teaching, coaching and riding at Grand Prix level. He was the second youngest candidate ever to pass the exam, and the only candidate ever to have passed the specialist Dressage section. This puts Adam into the elite band of teachers’, of which there are only 50 worldwide.

During Adam’s time at Talland he was involved in the training of literally hundreds of career students. His role was to train riders and teachers from all over the world, and has many former pupils in highly regarded teaching jobs. His expertise as a teacher extends to teacher training and is highly regarded in this sphere as well as in that as a competition coach.

Adam was also manager at Talland for some years. He has been in charge of a yard of 120 horses, and in charge of the training and teaching of 40 career students. His knowledge of horse care and stable management is hard to rival.

Adam’s competitive riding career began in eventing. He rode successfully up to advanced level, including three day events. He is still heavily involved in the training of event riders’ for their dressage phase. His knowledge and experience in eventing keeps him in demand by the eventing fraternity. He coaches riders up to 4* level, and now has begun helping Junior event riders with their dressage.

Of course, Adam is mainly renowned for his success as a dressage rider and a top dressage coach, trainer and teacher.

As a rider, he has won National titles, competed many times Internationally, and has won and been placed at every level including International Grand Prix. He has ridden very successfully on many different horses, the majority of which have been trained by him from a young age.

Adam did his first World cup qualifier in 1994, riding Crown Marcasite, a horse which had been trained by Adam from 4 years old. Since then he has trained many horses to Grand Prix level and competed them at International level.

In 2004 Adam decided to cut down his competition commitments to allow him more time to devote to his main love, that of teaching. He is from a family of teachers and lecturers so it is in his blood to teach! He is in high demand, most of his regular clinics in the UK having a waiting list to attend.

He has many pupils, some aspiring to the top of the sport, some striving to achieve more humble goals. However, Adams’ commitment to them all is impressive. In 2005 Adam’s pupils had qualified for more than 70 Regional championship classes between them, and several went on to compete at National Championship level. His pupils’ levels range from Pony club area trials right up to Grand Prix levels.

Adam also trains Para-Olympic riders, some of whom have competed at International level this year.

Pupils of Adam have been members’ of British under 21’s teams at European Championship level, again displaying the diversity of his clients’ ability and age range

Adam prides himself on having a great ability to pass on knowledge. His greatest reward in the sport is being to impart knowledge, to anyone wanting to learn.

Although Adam still has riding goals and aspirations of his own, it is the achievement of his pupils that is his main love. He has been lucky enough to train and learn from many top trainers’ in the world – including Georg, Monika and Inge Theodorescu, Henk Van Bergen and Kyra Kykland. This, combined with his knowledge of, and ability with, modern coaching techniques make him a very competent teacher.

We have a very exciting announcement to make!
Using ICSI, Lago Maleficent will be having a foal by Romero Trujillo in 2023. We are beyond excited! One of our lovely mares is carrying this very precious cargo so Maleficent can continue to be a dressage horse. 💗💗💗🦄

What a brilliant time we had at the MCI national Finals! Thanks to the whole team, it was brilliantly run, the prizes were fab, very envious of the overall championship rugs 😍 . Rompedor Candau II did brilliantly, he won the FEI 5 year old test, came 8th in a big class in the Carmencita (freestyle), I may have had a little bit too much fun on Saturday night and managed to go wrong twice in my Golega test on Sunday 🙈. Sack the rider moment, but Rompy did exactly what I asked of him. What a good boy! Emily Burns did brilliantly well to with her Lago Icon, well done Em 👏. Unfortunately we can't go to Belgium this year for the Europeans, which will be the first time ever for me. Sadly the dates were moved and we are away already. But I wish the GB team the best of luck! You will smash it!!!

Torrijo HBM, Goodbye my friend.
An amazing horse who put a smile on everyone's face. Since 4 years of age he has been a true delight and a friend to many. He was our last remaining foundation stallion and he will be sorely missed 💔.
He really was quite some horse, he had a glittering dressage career and sired some fantastic dressage horses. So his legacy continues.

But most importantly he was beautiful inside and out. A true gentleman.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who had a part in his life. To name a select few people who had the biggest impact on his life other than us were; Hannah Biggs, Ben St John James and Charlie Hockin. Each one taught him a great deal, learned a lot from him and no doubt loved him with their whole hearts. Thank you for taking care of our special boy in his twilight years Charlie, I know that he loved every minute with you. 💗
