Dogs in need rescue charity Dogs in Need is a registered charity which re-homes dogs no longer required by their present owners, or are in pounds and in desperate need of homes.

Re-homing in the Southern home counties. Operating largely in the Southern Counties, we seek to place unwanted dogs in suitable new homes, currently homing an average of 3 to 4 dogs per week. Dogs come to us in two ways. Their present owners choose to contact us because they no longer wish to keep their dog, typical causes being illness, emigration, marriage break-up, the dog's behavioural problem

s (often because the owners work and leave the dog alone), allergies and even the imminent arrival of a baby. We also take dogs from Pounds in areas with major stray problems, particularly Eire.

💝 Golden Oldies💝

Two " Golden Oldies " currently looking to be loved and cherished.
They need a warm fire, good food, a secure garden to potter around in and someone to love them.
They would both make ideal companions for older people. Maybe one of your relatives would love the company of a K9 companion, but they feel they are too old to take on a young energetic dog?
We might just have the perfect pet for them.
Here they are:- Seamus (RESERVED) and Toby are both a sprightly 11...😍

❤️ Bobby ❤️
Bobby the beagle will be 7 in May. He was adopted from Mo Chara in 2019 along with another beagle Toby .
Both boys have been returned as the family is emigrating and did not want to take the dogs with them!!
Bobby is a typical beagle, nose to the ground and full of energy.
He will need a very active family and could live with a K9 companion.
Currently Bobby is extremely overweight, he is on a diet!!
Bobby sits when asked, walks well on a lead and is clean in his kennel.
He needs a family with older children as he is clumsy and bouncy, he would knock over little people.

Bear (dark) & Loki (light) 19 month old Belgian Sherpherd/Alaskan Malamute brothers are looking for a new home. They both require a lot of exercise particularly Loki and being large they would benefit from being in a large home. They are both vaccinated and neutered.

Their current owners have had them since 8 weeks old and feel that sadly they now need to rehome them as they live in a small house with a baby on the way.

Lurcher Love Week❤️
❣️Oisin❣️
This dinky whippet boy was found dumped in a local bog with 3 other frightened boys.
He is appropriately 10 months old and a 18 inches to the shoulder.
Oisin was absolutely petrified when he first arrived , he has come out of his shell but can still be a little unsure when meeting new people.
He is great on the lead, loves his zoomies and gets on with other dogs...
He will require some extra tlc and understanding in his new home but he will reward you with lots of love.
His ideal home would have to have dog savvy children.
He can be an only dog or live with a gentle female/ male .
Definitely NO cats, small furries or feathers!!
Oisin had such a cruel beginning to his life, he deserves to be loved and cherished.

Lurcher Love Week❤️
❣️Stella❣️
Stunning Stella was totally emaciated and completely bald, covered in open mangey sores.
She has transformed into the most beautiful girl.
She is approx 18 months old and 19 inches to her shoulder.
Stella can share her home with another K9 companion but definitely no small furries or feathers....
Like all lurchers she has a super sweet personality, loves her zoomies and her lazy time.
This girl suffered horrendously before she was rescued, that has not affected her at all. She is a super star!!

Lurcher love week❤️. RESERVED
❣️Adfell❣️Adfell was in the pound at Christmas. She was found as a stray and not reclaimed.
She is a merle collie lurcher, approx 18months old and 20 inches to her shoulder. Adfell has the most placid gentle personality and is good with all other dogs.
She will make a great addition to any family.
She has had time lead training and she is clean in her kennel.
Adfell CANNOT live with cats or any small animals....
Like all lurchers She loves her zoomies and sleep.

Beautiful Holly is now ready to find her forever couch.
She is approx 18 months old, a petite spaniel/setter mix.
Holly is just the best girl ever.
She is super sociable with everyone and loves other dogs either male or female.
She is very cat curious, however she is so friendly that with correct introduction and monitoring she could possibly live with a cat!

Introducing the fabulous four 🐾💙🐾

Fisher, Cricket, Waffle and Jeff are looking for their forever homes. These boys are 11 weeks old and full of puppy fun and mischief. They are a Heinz 57 mix, mother and father unknown 🙈. Please remember that puppies are a lifelong commitment and can be very destructive. Ideally, someone should be home most of the day to facilitate house and basic training.

💞 Mitzy 💞
Mitzy is a gorgeous Wheaten Terrier mix who was in the pound.

She is appropriately 18 months old.
Mitzy has a sweet personality, loves her cuddles and fuss. However, she can be a little unsure. She will require an extra bit of tlc and patience. This will give her time to develop her personality and social skills.
She will need a home with NO other animals....Older dog savvy children or no children.

This lovely girl has so much to give, she just needs the right family to give her the opportunity!
She had a full pamper day yesterday as her coat was so matted when she arrived...How gorgeous does she look now😍

💜💜Strudel💜💜
Strudel is a fabulous Border Collie, who was in the pound after being found as a stray and not reclaimed.
She is appropriately 2 years old and ready to find her forever home.
She will need a very active home( collies are full of energy).
She can live with a male K9 companion definitely NO cats.
Strudel is probably a failed working dog as she has herding instinct!!
Her coat will need regular attention to stop it knotting( she is booked in for a full groom this week)

Petey RESERVED. our small beagle boy.
He's 4/5 years old. Petey was a stray and was very underweight.
Petey is a gentle boy, he can be reserved when meeting new people but food soon wins him round.
He is sharing his kennel with a female but they are fed separately as Petey is slightly food possessive, obviously after going hungry whilst a stray.
He has learnt to walk on a lead and is just starting to play.
He needs a family who will give him time to adjust and overcome his initial shyness.
He will make a family a super loving companion.

🤍🖤Oreo and Treacle🖤🤍. RESERVED
It's time for these two female beauties to go to their forever home...
Mum is a springer spaniel. She had given all she could to these two girls. They arrived full of mange and wormy bellies but on the whole in good form.

Over Christmas they have been in foster care.
Oreo is very placid and calm, Treacle is typical spaniel pup full of energy.
They are in foster with small furries and a young child.
Obviously at 10 weeks old these babies are blank canvasses. They are using p*e pads but will need further toilet and lead training. Being spaniels they are smart, so obedience and command training should be fairly easy, they will need an active home to burn off some of the spaniel energy. You must be prepared to continue their further training.
