Symptoms of dental disease in our pets:
๐ถ๐ฑ Bad breath (Halitosis)
๐ถ๐ฑ Difficulty eating (although cats in particular are very resilient & will try to eat until they are in severe pain)
๐ถ๐ฑ Tartar build up
๐ถ๐ฑ Gingivitis (red or bleeding gums)
๐ถ๐ฑ Excessive drooling
๐ถ๐ฑ Swelling on a side of the mouth
๐ถ๐ฑ Wobbly teeth
๐ฑ Reluctant to groom / a noticeable deterioration in coat quality
๐ถ Head shaking
These are just a fraction of the most common symptoms of dental disease in our dogs & cats. Dogs & cats are incredibly resilient and will often continue to eat & drink until they are too painful to do so ๐ค
We always check your pets teeth & gums at routine examinations, however itโs important you also keep an eye on them at home ๐
Weโve got an exciting webinar planned all about Dental Disease by Dr Alyson Bayly & Dr Gary Campbell so keep an eye out for the link to sign up ๐ฆท
