Be the Pack Leader - Debbie Cocker

Be the Pack Leader - Debbie Cocker My aim is to help people achieve a well behaved dog by showing them techniques for correcting all types of behavioural problems.

I offer 1-1 training which takes about 4 hours and you will be amazed how much can be achieved in that time. I am trained in the Cesar Millan ethos and carried out over 80 case studies during my training. My aim is to help people achieve a well behaved dog that their owners can enjoy and fully integrate into their lives without anxiety or nervousness. To enable them to be the ' Pack Leader' and te

ach them to be able to make positive changes to their canine companions behaviour, whatever the problem may be, large or small. Many dogs show behaviour that causes minor to huge problems for their owners. Such problems include:

over excitement, aggression, anxiety (including separation anxiety), fear of loud noises, running away, obsession or fixated behaviour, hoarding leading to obsession and possessiveness, excessive barking, unwanted chewing and simple things like being able to walk your dog to heal to enjoy a walk in a calm and relaxed manner.

1-1 Training with owners and their dogs, helping them to sort out al types of behaviour problems, be it over excitement, aggression, anxiety, recall problems,

In these strange times of isolation I hope you are all keeping well and able to enjoy the special times with your dogs that are without doubt keeping me sane. Stay safe 😀

Longline training with a lovely 15 year old and his mum last week with their family dog that didn’t listen and only came back when it suited him!! We really got him working and using his brain and the dog loved it. He’s now walking beautifully to heal and as light as a feather on lead.

It makes my job so worthwhile when I go back for a revisit and find that the owner has really put into practice the advice and training techniques that we did on our first big session. A very different dog to the one I first met 6 weeks ago. And a beautiful day too in Richmond Park. Well done you Abbey 😘

Got little Fenway to stay for training as he will not leave other dogs alone, barks like crazy around them and generally makes himself very unpopular and has been bitten by a dog that had quite frankly had enough. He’s done brilliantly today using training discs and has left every situation when called and had a very normal enjoyable walk. He’s loving being worked 😀😀

What a cracking little dog this is

This beagle puppy is 5 1/2 months old and has learnt so much today in her one-one training session. How to walk to heal. Long lining for turn on a sixpence recall. Waiting at doors, gates and being invited through. How to leave food, not jump up and so many other things. She was pulling on the lead and generally doing her own thing as this is her owners first dog and I’ve loved being able to help them in the right direction.

Successful session yesterday with a dog stealing everything from work surfaces and trashing the kitchen. Dog's lucky to be alive having eaten two bars of Toblerone!! Owner has literally been barricading the dogs in one space to keep the house safe. Do call bethepack-leader.com on 07876495990 if this sounds familiar or you're having any other behavioural issues that need sorting.

Well we started with a dog this morning that literally wanted to attack every dog it met. He had been rescued by a lovely lady who had given him a second chance in life as he was about to be put down. He had very few manners and obviously felt he was at the top of the pecking order. A 1-1 session of about four hours and we had a dog that was able to walk past others, stand and have a chat to other owners while Gus was happy and relaxed in their dogs company without aggression. I can't wave a magic wand but watching his body language and correcting immediately he began to change and soon learnt to overcome his anxieties. His owner now has confidence to not avoid other dogs and go in search of them so she and Gus can get better and better with time and practice. If any owners are experiencing similar problems please do contact me or anything else that you feel needs addressing 😀

Another successful training session today. Dog aggression problems this time. Poor owner couldn't walk without being terrified of who/what she might meet round the next corner.

Had a very rewarding training session yesterday with a dog that had been rescued and obviously had had no boundaries set down. His owner was in floods of tears on the phone when they rang me as he has got very possessive and is now biting his owners when they ask him to do something he doesn't want to - a simple thing like getting him to go into his bed when he comes back from a walk and he was very aggressive. The owners were consequently nervous of him. He responded brilliantly and was a changed boy after a full 5 hour one-one session. I find it amazing what can be achieved in a relatively short space of time and how owners feel so positive and much more confident to deal with situations that may arise. The dog was much more confident and relaxed after the session which was lovely to see. I will look forward to seeing him again in six weeks time 🐕🐕

Teaching your dog to come in out of the rain and stay on a mat while they dry off and not leave it till you release them is so possible with a bit of patience and consistency 🐾🐾
