1st time groom with me today & what a little star ⭐️ If only they could speak 🤔 or maybe not, not sure they’d be too polite whilst they’re being groomed 😂 Pictures can tell a very different story but home grooming is so important too! We are always happy to chat about best techniques & home maintainence to avoid those lengthy, uncomfortable & costly grooming appointments.

Double trouble…..Paws down these two are bigger than me (not hard I know😂). They are the gentlest soles with the biggest hearts (& feet). They are quite the celebrities in their home town of Deal 🥰

Who doesn’t love a Cocker Spaniel….. They say you shouldn’t have favourites but…🤷🏼‍♀️ Teddy is such a special boy & he was my very first customer so I think he’s entitled to be ☺️

“GRADUATION DAY” you can leave your hat off Lexi! Passed with a 2:1 😂. Bath ✅ Dryer ✅ Clippers ✅ We like to see puppies as soon as they can touch the ground. Gradual introduction over a few weeks to a full groom before graduating into the world of grooms! See you in 8 weeks Lexi 🥰

DON’T LOOSE YOUR COAT THIS WINTER 🥶 Dogs need their’s just like we do. They get use to the thickness & the warmth so when it comes off they don’t like it! It feels weirded & uncomfortable BUT to keep it, it needs to be cared for! Regular brushing, regular baths & regular trims! You wash, dry & iron your clothes to keep them fresh, looking smart & feeling comfortable. Dogs need their coats to be treated exactly the same! Just ask yourself…..Would you wear clothes that hadn’t been washed for 6 months or more? 🤔. Would you roll around in mud & brambles & leave it stuck all over you feeling prickly & uncomfortable 🤔. Would you have insects crawling over you & not brush them off 🤔. Don’t put off until tomorrow what needs to be done today for the health & welfare of your dog! They can’t tell you but we can help you .pawfection

Little Chester’s first groom today & what an absolute little star he was!

This gorgeous boy had gone too long in-between grooms! Unfortunately he had some severe matting but with perseverance (from him 🐶 & me 🥵) we got his coat back to a manageable condition. His mum now has some homework to do to keep him tip top & I’ll be seeing him regularly 🥰. If your struggling to manage your dogs coat don’t put off their groom as this can have a negative effect for them & you. We don’t judge you, we help you & show you how to maintain your dogs coat 🐶🥰

We have an awful update about Louie.
Louie was a 10 year old boy, not neutered, and we were told he could be a little grumpy at times.
He was the sweetest boy but didn't like being touched near the face. We now know why. He had gone to our vets for his dental as his teeth weren't great. The vets completed his dental on one side, removing 9 teeth. However, when they got to the other side, they noticed a break in his jaw between 2 teeth. They took x-rays to confirm, then woke him up, then rang us with the news. He needed a more experienced dental vet. So he was transferred the following week to the vet hospital. The plan was to fit a metal plate if needed. The hospital did further x-rays and a CT scan to confirm it was a rotten tooth that had fractured his jaw. They then went ahead to try to remove that tooth. The vets were really pleased, the rotten tooth and a few around it were removed successfully and they were hopeful the jaw would knit back together without the plate.
However, a few hours later, they called again to say he was struggling and had crashed. They got him back, but sadly, he crashed again, and they couldn't get him back 😢
It's so important, especially small breeds, to have regular dental checks. We also understand that some vets, not all, are charging huge amounts for this that a lot of owners can't afford. We don't know the answer to this. It's heartbreaking as you've all seen all the older dogs coming into us with dental issues that could be easily avoided.
Alot of groomers can help with keeping your pets teeth clean, this is not a substitute for dental check ups at your vets though, but it's a great way to keep them cleaner for longer helping to prevent gum disease.
You were a little gem, Louie. we're sorry we didn't get to you sooner 💔💔
