𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗺 🐾
This beautiful tortie/tabby cross is a very special puss who needs an understanding and patient owner. Blossom came to us after being terrorised by children. As a result, she is unpredictable. One minute she can appear friendly, purring and rubbing up against things, then she can quickly turn, growling and will scratch. The trauma she has experienced means she’s on high alert and thinks hands will hurt her. She’ll need a quiet home with no children or pets, and will need to be kept indoors for a long period of time until she becomes confident with her owner. 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 2️⃣4️⃣
“These are photos from when we first saw Simba at Romney. He is now called Barney (Barney Rubble!) and is such a lovely cat. He has definitely landed on his four paws! When he’s not lounging around in his bed, on his tower or on our beds, he’s out exploring and playing with his girlfriend (the cat who visits our garden!). He is so affectionate and always looking for cuddles. He will do anything for food, especially treats, and loved his bowl full of turkey at Christmas. Thank you for helping us find a wonderful cat just after we had lost our beloved family cat of many years. He is always up to no good - hence his name - but we wouldn’t have Barney any other way!”

Saskia is a beautiful, 7 year old, female Siberian Forest cat who is looking for her new forever home. Due to an unexpected change of circumstances - her owner moved from a house with a garden, to an apartment - Saskia has struggled to cope without an outdoor space, and has been living with a lively puppy and another cat who bullied her. As a result, she has become very stressed and unhappy, leading to her owner reluctantly having to give her up for rehoming 😞

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀 🐈🐈‍⬛
Here’s some of our gorgeous boy cats all looking for loving, forever homes. If any catch your eye, come and meet them at our Rescue Centre in Downe, Orpington.

Roger a former stray, is a gorgeous, big, ginger Tomcat, and a bit of a bruiser with a few battle scars here and there. He appears shy at first, but with encouragement and space, will tentatively approach humans then happily accept strokes, fuss and meow loudly. Appearances can be deceiving, as Roger is a gentle boy.

Bow is a 2 year old, Ragdoll cat and is very handsome - people look twice when they see him. He is large in stature with a stunning, long haired, black and white coat. He’s a gentle boy, likes to be stroked and will nudge his head against your hand for more fuss. We’d love to rehome him with his brother Eddie, but will consider separating for the right home. Cats like Bow don’t come along often!

Eddie is 2 years old and such a friendly boy. He will confidently approach humans, nudging with his nose for fuss and strokes. He loves to play and brings a smile to everyone’s face. We are hoping to rehome him with his brother Bow, but will separate for the right home. Eddie would fit into a family home really well.

Wiley is 8 months old, and came to Romney last November with his siblings. When he first arrived he was extremely scared, climbing the walls to escape our staff. Over time Wiley has become more confident. He now happily sits on his cushion, watching staff go about their duties. He still isn’t keen on being touched. and will run away but never hisses or scratches. He’s a striking looking boy with the softest coat. We feel with space to explore, love and patience, Wiley will keep growing in confidence.

These former tabby strays joined Romney last November. They are siblings, around 8 months old. When they first arrived they were extremely scared, climbing the walls to escape us. Wiley is now the more confident out of the two. He loves sitting on his cushion, watching the world go by. He’s ok around humans, but isn’t keen on being touched, although he never hisses or scratches. Whitney is still a very shy girl and feels safe tucked inside her cat tree. They are striking looking cats with the softest coats. We feel with space to explore, consistent love and patience these cats will keep growing in confidence.

“This is Otis (formerly Farrow) who was found in a shed with his brothers and Mum. I adopted him from Romney in May 2023. After over 10 years without a cat in our home, Otis has been more than we could’ve ever hoped for. We knew he was full of personality and confidence from the moment we saw him - he came straight over to play with me, chasing after a piece of string - we felt like he had chosen us in that moment! Now, he loves spending time outside, making biscuits on his favourite blanket, squeezing into any box he can find and trying to get his paws on our dinner… as cheeky as always! 𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗟 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛
We have rescued the most beautiful family of Ragdoll cats. Mama Dolly and her 3 boys - Bow, Mousse and Eddie. Sadly their owner had to give them up after moving to a new home where pets aren’t allowed. As they’ve been used to living as a family, we’d love to rehome the brothers together. We understand that’s a big ask, so will consider separating for the right home/owner. Will also consider rehoming Dolly on her own.

𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆 is 3, a beautiful girl with a stunning, fluffy black and white coat. She can be a little shy at first but once she know you, loves strokes, fuss and treats.

𝗕𝗼𝘄 is 2 and a strikingly handsome tomcat. He’s loving and gentle and will push his head into your hand for more strokes.

𝗠𝗼𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲 is 2, also with a stunning black and white coat. He is gentle, cuddly and happy to receive strokes and ear rubs.

𝗘𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗲 is 2 and unlike his brothers is short haired. He is very friendly and will happily approach humans for fuss and attention.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝘂 (and Rory 🐾) who has just completed a work experience placement with us. Mu is studying Animal Management - level 2 at college. When she completes her course this year, she plans to further her education and one day become a veterinary surgeon.

Mu has really enjoyed feeding all our cats and kittens and socialising the more timid cats by playing with them. She’s enjoyed her time at Romney so much that she’ll be returning as a regular volunteer! In addition, Mu fell in love with one of our rescue cats Dexter and adopted him! 😻

Thanks for all your hard work and enthusiasm Mu 🙏 we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲 & 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 🐾
These young brothers were found dumped in a carrier, so we know very little about them sadly. They are shy at the moment and still getting used to life at Romney. Cinnamon is black and white, and Cookie has a stunning grey and white coat. They are bonded and rely on each other to feel safe and secure - they sit and sleep entwined together. We therefore, need to rehome them together, in a forever home with no other pets or young children. With time and patience we know these boys personalities will shine through. They just need some time, patience and love ❤️

“We adopted Milo in January 2024 and we now couldn’t imagine our lives without him! He is such a character and draws attention locally as he likes to follow us on the school run walk to make sure we arrive safely! He also likes to break through the fire exit at school to sit at the back of assembly to keep an eye on his human brothers! ❤️ He’s very vocal when he’s hungry and likes to be close to us at all times!
