Just picked up yet another pair of purpurascens, from Terraria Houten. Wasn't planned, but couldn't say no to a great price. Many thanks to Revaj Reptiles, who had a table full of superb species.

We’re thrilled to introduce a stunning new addition to our collection – an Oligodon purpurascens morph we're calling 'Fable'. Hailing from Java, Indonesia, this morph is reminiscent of the 'white-sided' morph seen in rat snakes.

This has been with us for roughly four months now and is thriving, doing all that it should. As of now, the genetics behind the ‘Fable’ morph are completely unknown, and we look forward to unlocking its secrets over time.

An incredibly exciting addition here at The Kukri Den.

From our research this is highly likely to be an as yet undescribed Oligodon species, collected from quite a specific location on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.

This stunning animal has been with us for a few months now and is eating and shedding well.

Hopefully we will be able to obtain more in the future so that we can work towards successfully breeding this species in captivity.
