Very sad to hear of the passing of Balinmore Ballyhoo aged 22 years. He was one of the first Graded Stallions I bred and the only one by Darcy Dancer.
His dam Balinmore Brigit is still here at the Stud aged 27 years. RIP Brennan 💚

A busy day yesterday with the IDHSGB Mare Inspections here at Balinmore Stud. Very proud to say both Balinmore Brianne by Skip and Sea and Balinmore Rebel Lady by Rebelara both gained Class 1. 🥇🥇

It was then on to the Hornby Premiums and I was delighted when Balinmore Sea Shell and Balinmore Sea of Dreams both got Hornby Premiums🏅🏅both by Skip and Sea.

A huge thanks to the Inspectors John Newcombe, Ellen Walton, Mark Mortimer and of course Sue Benson who had the arduous paperwork job!

Not forgetting my two brilliant assistants Kathryn Benson and Louise Young for their help and support as always! 😊

Balinmore Brianne is a beautiful 16.2hh 5 year old mare by Class 1 Gold Merit Stallion SKIP AND SEA out of Class 1 Gold Merit Select Hornby Premium Mare Balinmore Brigit. She is eligible for Class 1 and entered for the IDHSGB Gradings next month.

She is a lovely free straight moving mare with genuine potential in any discipline having been given time to mature. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a totally unspoilt unbroken young mare with excellent basic ground work. She has been extremely well handled, had her feet trimmed and wormed regularly and is up to date with the dentist and vaccinations. Definitely no hang ups blemishes or sarcoids! Excellent in the field and stable and will turn out with anyone. Very friendly and loves attention!

Genuinely available as cutting down on mare numbers this year as my back cannot cope with another winter like the one we have just had!!
