✨Marley pup update✨
We have received beautiful photos and videos of Marley after being rehomed almost a month ago.
Marley is doing amazing in his new home been such a fast learner, he’s very intelligent anf eager to learn and please. He has started training on walks to sit and wait before crossing roads and picking it up so quickly!
The photos speak for themselves with how he feels about his new sibling! Marley looks very much at home and very happy with his new family.

We couldn’t ask for more! 🏡⭐️

We have now closed the rescue for the Christmas and New Year period and will reopen on the 4th January.
Rest assured - we are still here for the animals in our care and to take in those in need.

Lap cat cuddle bug Tootsie is still looking for her forever home.. or should we say lap?

Tootsie is such a sweet girl whose confidence is growing and growing, we can see her being such a lovely companion.

Star has with us since June and sadly has had absolutely no interest taken in her. It seems as though no one sees how brightly she shines but it’s ok we do and there’s someone out there who also will.
Whilst she patiently waits for her new home we will give her all the love and attention.

Also, great British bake off wanna be star baker over here putting in the kneading work making her biscuits! 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Star approx 8 years old, came to us as a stray so we have no history prior to her arrival. Star can be quiet and reserved, she can be very purrry and content, she can also be a little grump depending on her mood but that’s what makes her, her! She’s such a little character. Star will need a home without young children or other animals. If you would like to meet her in our Cattery please visit us from 11:30-3:30, open every day! 🐈‍⬛🏡

✨We would like to say a BIG thank you to Pets at home and their customers for our life line vouchers this month and of course, the support all year round.✨

This month we chose to spend our vouchers to get the cats fancy new scratching posts, play tunnels and food 🐈🐈‍⬛

❓What are lifelines❓
By becoming a pets at home VIP you can select a charity to help. That means every time you spend, you will earn Lifelines, which are converted into Pets at Home vouchers that we use to purchase essential items like food, leads and toys for the dogs and cats in our rescue center.

We are so very grateful for all of the help and support - thank you for helping us help them!

'The gorgeous Millie recently arrived in our lives & has brought nothing but joy, love & full on playfulness

We were a little apprehensive on how she would adjust to indoor living having previously lived outside, thankfully we needn't have worried as she's become part of the furniture

She is such a fuss pot & enjoys a good belly & chin rub at every opportunity when she isn't wanting to play fetch with her toys

She loves traveling in the car & exploring new places which we can't wait to share with her

Millie also enjoys snuggle time on the sofa. She is such a sweetie & easily charms anyone she meets, we are so lucky to have her in our lives' - Millie's new forever family

Meet Toby☀️
Toby has found himself in our rehoming kennels due to his previous owners marriage breakdown.

Toby was a boarder here with us and has spent a few holidays with us in the past so we already knew him. Toby is looking for a new home through no fault of his own - he was very loved and this was a hard decision but the right one for the circumstances.

Very friendly boy
Good with other dogs
Not okay with cats / other animals
No recall - lead walks only
Great with children
Not crate trained
Travels well in the car
Toby is a typical beagle when out on a walk - he always has his nose to the ground on sniffing patrol, he may pull at first but once he's over the initial excitement of going out exploring he generally walks well.

Toby can be protective with his food and has displayed guarding behaviors but if you pop his food down and leave him to it he is fine.

Behavioral: Toby can become anxious when left in small confined spaces - he will scratch at doors to get out and doesn't like to be shut and left in another room / area of the house if he knows you are there, he will scratch at the door to be with you and follow wherever you go around the house and have his own freedom. Toby is fine to be left when no one is home there is no scratching.

Toby absolutely loves being in a car he will have his head out the window and his ears flapping in the wind. With his previous owner he once traveled 20+ hours abroad by car and enjoyed every second. We could see Toby being a great holiday go-er, maybe he could be your travel buddy and you could sight see together.

Vivian - DLH, 6 months🐈‍⬛
Vivian was brought to us through no fault of her own. Sadly she was very unhappy in her previous home due to not getting on with her previous owners existing cat, she was sadly being a little bit bullied.

Due to her history Vivian can be very timid and anxious however, she is super affectionate when she's comfortable.

Will sit, sleep and purrr away on your lap all day if you'll let her
Nervous with loud noises
Vivian has the softest most strokeable hair which she loves being groomed!
Very purrry once she has relaxed
kept as an indoor only cat in previous home
Ideal owner qualities - patience, understanding, gentle, warm lap, a supply of crunchy treats to hand.

Vivs ideal home would be somewhere quiet without young children or other pets. As Viv is easily frightened by things she would like a chilled out home with a comfy, secure hidey spot to feel safe when the anxiety appears!

Koda - DLH, approx 8 yrs +🐈‍⬛🐾
Koda was found as a stray and kindly brought to us. We checked for a microchip to see who he belonged to but unfortunately he was not chipped therefore we have no history regarding him or his background.

Koda is a confident boy who loves making new friends once he's already given you the sniff test to approve your friendship- 'pssspssspss' at him and he'll come straight over to you to say hello. Koda loves a head and cheek rub and will lean his head and whole weight into your hand and lay down to truly enjoy the fuss and attention.

His highness Koda is giving all the angles in his photographs - a true model, its giving powerful, majestic, playful and cute.

We will update with more information as we get to know Koda and his personality shines through even more.

Beau - Collie X, 3 yrs🎀RE-HOMED 🌟
Some of you may remember beautiful beau..
We re-homed Beau back in summer but sadly she has returned to us as she had became reactive towards other dogs on walks which was becoming too much for them to deal with.

The previous owners have stated that she is a lovely dog but they were struggling to give her the stimulation and time she needs being a collie. We feel as though this has led to built up frustration and energy and likely the cause of her behaviour.

We have found Beau to be playful with other dogs in our care and an absolute sweetheart - we love her.

Beau originally came into our care through no fault of her own, sadly, her elderly owner could not keep up with Beau and was unable to give her the active life style that she needs.

Beau is such a sweet girl with bundles of love in her heart, ready to share with a new family.

Good with other dogs - never lived with another but has socialised and enjoyed playing
Very cuddly - a big lap dog who loves to nuzzling into your neck, burying into your arms and giving plenty of kisses
Can be quite timid with people at first but has been nothing but friendly and playful with people and other dogs with us
No experience with cats
Adores playing fetch
Not lived with young children (under 5) before
Was let off lead for walks in original home with no problems
Walks well on the lead (will stop for a hug every now and then)
We can see Beau being a great match for most lifestyles and she is the best of both worlds she loves being active and playing (we can imagine she would love to get her nose into sniffing gear by exploring on trips down by the canal, the beach, woods etc) but also she loves the downtime of having a snuggle buddy we can picture her with her head rested on your lap sat on the sofa together - the comfiest place in the world for a rescue dog.

⭐️Smokey - 12 months (black and white) & her two kittens Sammy (tabby & white) & Mitch (tabby)
age - 10 weeks as of 6/11/24⭐️

Smokey and her two kittens came into our care as the previous owner was moving house and could not take them along with them.

We were given next to no information regarding Smokey's history prior to us however we have found Smokey to be a very sweet girl with very loud purrs.

Both Sammy & Mitch are typical kittens - inquisitive, very purrr'y like their mother, playful and ready to learn about the world and be welcomed into home life.

Smokey being only young herself has been a great mummy and looked after Sammy & Mitch incredibly but now its time for her to be looked after.

We will be rehoming the kittens in pairs only.

Stewie and Georgie arrived at Danemere as the previous owners child's allergies and asthma was becoming increasingly worse and therefore had to make the difficult decision to find them a new home.

Georgie - DSH, 5 yrs✨
Can be a little slower to warm up than her buddy Stewie however, once she does, she absolutely adores a head rub and will lean and nuzzle into your hand so that you get just the right spot!
Georgie is very affectionate and enjoys fuss.
Georgie is great with children however we feel as though she would benefit from being in a household with older more understanding children in her new home.
Georgie had access to the outside in previous home however, she would run back in as she lacked confidence to explore and was too fearful and so was predominantly kept as a house cat
Georgie is such a beautiful, loving girl and would make a great companion to a quieter household.

Stewie - Seal type Ragdoll, 2 yrs old✨

Stewie is super friendly and docile, he loves being in the spotlight and lapping up all of the attention which is great because his beautiful looks cause a lot of attention, he was the streets local celebration in his previous home!

If you're looking for a cat to pamper and adore and receive lots of affection in return - Stewie is the purrfect cat for you.

🐾Great with children as he's very placid and has lived with them before so a ideal family friendly boy
🐾Loves being groomed - this will be essential to maintain his coat
🐾Loves a cuddle and even likes being picked up and held like a baby for a closer snuggle
Likes to have the freedom to go outside
Gets on well with other cats
🐾Stewie is an all round wonderful boy who has lots of love to inject into a new home.

Although Stewie & Georgie came in as a pair together we will be willing to split them if they cannot find a home together.

Tootsie - DSH, 10 yrs
Tootsie arrived with us as her elderly owners were no longer able to care for her. Tootsie had lived with her owners for 10 years in a quiet and calm household.

Tootsie can be very loving once she trusts you, she just needs time and patience.

Not been introduced to children
Never been introduced to dogs
Loves treats!
Likes to have access to outside but doesn't stray far from home
Likes a fuss but doesn't like being picked up

In light of Halloween sadly we find that black cats are often waiting the longest for their forever home.
Is it superstitions?
We are here to break common misconceptions, black cats aren’t the bringers of bad luck - you’re lucky to have one and if they have magical witchy powers we reckon they are;

All our black cats are still available and are ready to cast their love into your homes and family 🧙‍♀️
