Beau - Collie X, 3 yrs🎀
Some of you may remember beautiful beau..
We re-homed Beau back in summer but sadly she has returned to us as she had became reactive towards other dogs on walks which was becoming too much for them to deal with.

The previous owners have stated that she is a lovely dog but they were struggling to give her the stimulation and time she needs being a collie. We feel as though this has led to built up frustration and energy and likely the cause of her behaviour.

We have found Beau to be playful with other dogs in our care and an absolute sweetheart - we love her.

Beau originally came into our care through no fault of her own, sadly, her elderly owner could not keep up with Beau and was unable to give her the active life style that she needs.

Beau is such a sweet girl with bundles of love in her heart, ready to share with a new family.

Good with other dogs - never lived with another but has socialised and enjoyed playing
Very cuddly - a big lap dog who loves to nuzzling into your neck, burying into your arms and giving plenty of kisses
Can be quite timid with people at first but has been nothing but friendly and playful with people and other dogs with us
No experience with cats
Adores playing fetch
Not lived with young children (under 5) before
Was let off lead for walks in original home with no problems
Walks well on the lead (will stop for a hug every now and then)
We can see Beau being a great match for most lifestyles and she is the best of both worlds she loves being active and playing (we can imagine she would love to get her nose into sniffing gear by exploring on trips down by the canal, the beach, woods etc) but also she loves the downtime of having a snuggle buddy we can picture her with her head rested on your lap sat on the sofa together - the comfiest place in the world for a rescue dog.

⭐️Smokey - 12 months (black and white) & her two kittens Sammy (tabby & white) & Mitch (tabby)
age - 10 weeks as of 6/11/24⭐️

Smokey and her two kittens came into our care as the previous owner was moving house and could not take them along with them.

We were given next to no information regarding Smokey's history prior to us however we have found Smokey to be a very sweet girl with very loud purrs.

Both Sammy & Mitch are typical kittens - inquisitive, very purrr'y like their mother, playful and ready to learn about the world and be welcomed into home life.

Smokey being only young herself has been a great mummy and looked after Sammy & Mitch incredibly but now its time for her to be looked after.

We will be rehoming the kittens in pairs only.

Stewie and Georgie arrived at Danemere as the previous owners child's allergies and asthma was becoming increasingly worse and therefore had to make the difficult decision to find them a new home.

Georgie - DSH, 5 yrs✨
Can be a little slower to warm up than her buddy Stewie however, once she does, she absolutely adores a head rub and will lean and nuzzle into your hand so that you get just the right spot!
Georgie is very affectionate and enjoys fuss.
Georgie is great with children however we feel as though she would benefit from being in a household with older more understanding children in her new home.
Georgie had access to the outside in previous home however, she would run back in as she lacked confidence to explore and was too fearful and so was predominantly kept as a house cat
Georgie is such a beautiful, loving girl and would make a great companion to a quieter household.

Stewie - Seal type Ragdoll, 2 yrs old✨

Stewie is super friendly and docile, he loves being in the spotlight and lapping up all of the attention which is great because his beautiful looks cause a lot of attention, he was the streets local celebration in his previous home!

If you're looking for a cat to pamper and adore and receive lots of affection in return - Stewie is the purrfect cat for you.

🐾Great with children as he's very placid and has lived with them before so a ideal family friendly boy
🐾Loves being groomed - this will be essential to maintain his coat
🐾Loves a cuddle and even likes being picked up and held like a baby for a closer snuggle
Likes to have the freedom to go outside
Gets on well with other cats
🐾Stewie is an all round wonderful boy who has lots of love to inject into a new home.

Although Stewie & Georgie came in as a pair together we will be willing to split them if they cannot find a home together.

Tootsie - DSH, 10 yrs
Tootsie arrived with us as her elderly owners were no longer able to care for her. Tootsie had lived with her owners for 10 years in a quiet and calm household.

Tootsie can be very loving once she trusts you, she just needs time and patience.

Not been introduced to children
Never been introduced to dogs
Loves treats!
Likes to have access to outside but doesn't stray far from home
Likes a fuss but doesn't like being picked up

In light of Halloween sadly we find that black cats are often waiting the longest for their forever home.
Is it superstitions?

Meet Roxy🐶
🐾Roxy is a 1 year old Doberman Cross who, through no fault of her own, found herself at the kennels when her previous owners couldn't provide the time or space she needed. Full of energy and personality, Roxy is a bubbly, social dog who enjoys being around people and gets along well with other dogs. Having previously lived with the children, she is also familiar with a family environment.

For her next chapter, Roxy's ideal family should patient, experienced with larger breeds and committed to continuing her training. She is still young and full of potential , so her new home must offer her the time and attention she needs to thrive.

With the right care and environment, Roxy is sure to grow into a loyal, loving companion.🐾

Lulu & Zeus - DSH 18 months approx.

Lulu and Zeus came to Danemere after 3 days being an unwanted purchase from Facebook.

Sadly we have been given no history and next to no information on both Zeus and Lulu given the circumstances of their arrival however we do know;

🐾Were allowed to wander freely in and out of the home in previous house – not via cat flap
🐾Lived with two children happily before
🐾Like being groomed

Since being with us we have found both Zeus and Lulu to be very calm and sweet. Zeus can be a little shy in comparison to Lulu but it doesn’t take much for him to relax and gain his confidence.

We will update with more information as we get to know this lovely pair!

Lola - British Blue, 9 yrs 🎀

Lola was brought in to us due to her elderly owner suddenly, sadly, passing away.

Lola is a nervous sweetheart and we have been told due to this she tends to over groom herself. She has quite clearly been missing her owner. Whilst being in the cattery she has settled in quite well considering her nervous nature - she just needs a little bribery with a treat or a fuss and she warms up.

🐾Lola is a typical sweet lap cat!

🐾Lola loves being held in your arms and in turn she will nuzzle her fame into you.

🐾Lola would love nothing more than a home where there is a human companion around to keep company as that is what she was used to.

🐾Lola lived with another cat previously however was unhappy and they did not get on
🐾Only cat home
🐾Ok with calm children 12 yrs + , she does not fair well with loud noises and energy
🐾Cuddle bug once comfortable!

Xaden- DSH, approx 1 yrs 🐱
Xaden came in from a local vets after being found and handed in as a stray.

He was described as a lovely boy by the vet nurses - and we agree he is a lovely boy!

Xaden has the power to make everyone fall in love with him, hes very cuddly and adores fuss and attention - he can nip at you to make sure you continue giving him a fuss (he means no harm, he just doesn't want you to stop!)

Xaden is a very puuuuurry boy!

Due to the nature of him being found we have no history - everything is guesswork, even his name!

Unsure whether he has ever been introduced to dogs / cats / children

Melody - DSH, approx 1-2 yrs🐈‍⬛

Melody came to Danemere with another cat (who has since been rehomed) from a local vets.

Sadly Melody was handed into the vets after a cleaning company were instructed to clear a house after the previous tennant had passed away and there they were! Luckily they were taken to the vets to be given hope for a forever home.

Melody was already pregnant when she came to us and gave birth to 6 gorgeous kittens back in August!

Melody has been a fantastic mummy and looked after her kittens so well but now they have all weaned and found their forever homes - its now time for this mummy to be looked after!

Melody is such a sweet, friendly girl with a love for head rubs.

Melody deserves the best home.

🐾Unsure on history with children - we are sure she would be suited though as she has a gentle temperament

Meet Bella & Shelby - DSH, 3 yrs

Bella and Shelby arrived with us after their previous owner had sadly passed away and the family were unable to to look after them due to living arrangements.

Both Bella and Shelby are very reserved and shy upon initial meeting.
They need slow interaction to establish and become comfortable. Slowly but surely they become relaxed purr-ers and they sound like little motors when they're purring away!
Both girls are lovely and we can see them being lap cats given the chance and patience.

We have very little information on their lives before rescue however we do know that they were kept as indoor cats.

Ideal home:

🐾No young children - they would like a quiet home with a slower pace
🐾Both do not mind being picked up and are happy to be groomed
🐾Love a fuss
🐾Good with other cats
🐾Well bonded pair - ideally would be homed together
🐾A warm lap, cosy chair, a big window to be nosey - Just a loving home.

Meet Zeeko a stunning 6-month-old Doberman 🐾

Zeeko was imported from Cyprus as a young pup to a family who unfortunately realised they could not provide him with the care he deserves as they had a child on the way. He was bought to Danemere for us to help him find his second chance.

(Please note his ear cropping and tail docking was performed prior to his arrival in the UK.)

Zeeko is a typical Doberman full of energy and ready for a loving home. He's playful, affectionate and will grow quickly into a large, strong boy. We are looking for his new family/owner to be experienced with large breeds to ensure he is paired with someone suitable for his big personality!

As Zeeko has been with us for a while, we are all he has ever known and life outside of kennels will be brand new and potentially scary for him. We need a confident, patient owner who is willing to help him navigate a new life outside of Danemere. As he is still a puppy he will need a lot of time and training put into him, so ideally we would be looking for an owner who is home a lot of the day or who can spend most of their time with him i.e work from home / take him to work.

He is great with other dogs and loves to play with Lola the German Shepherd pup we also have here, so we are confident he will adapt quickly to a home that has other dogs too, providing they get along during initial meetings.

🐾Zeeko can be boisterous so will need a home without small children / elderly as he can sometimes plough into you or jump up with his big paws for a cuddle - he means no harm, he's just an exuberant puppy who doesn't realise how big he is sometimes!
🐾Very playful
🐾Food motivated and a willingness to learn
🐾Knows basic commands - sit, wait, down
🐾Will need plenty of further training - house training and basic commands
🐾Good with other dogs - unsure with cats

Dobermans are a very unique breed - we are very experienced with Dobies and can personally testify that they are funny (intelligent but very very silly), likened to a horse or a bull but so full of love. Resting their head on your lap tends to be a dobies favourite place and the kitchen!

If there is one thing Zeeko will do it's make you laugh - he's a big, clumsy, leaping, floppy eared beauty in need of a home to call his own.

Lola - GSD, 8 Months 🌸
Meet Lola, a delightful young pup who has found herself at Danemere and is ready for her second chance! Lola came to us at just 3 months old and she has come on leaps and bounds in the last few months she's been with us, but as much as we love having her we are eager to find her a home she deserves.

Lola temporarily went to a foster home however this sadly did not work out due to their lifestyle not matching Lola's needs.

This friendly and inquisitive girl is deaf, but that doesn't slow her down-she's quickly learning hand signals to help her navigate the world around her.

Lola has a playful, cheeky spirit and loves to explore, but she needs a dedicated owner who can provide her with the mental stimulation, training and a consistent routine that she needs. She thrives on attention and cuddles and will flourish in a home where someone is around (human / a fellow four legged friend!) most of the day to help use up her energy and adjust to a new life outside of the kennels..

✨Recall - non existent due to deafness however she does stay by your side in a secure paddock and will come to you immediately if she is looking for you to signal her
✨Knows sit, lay down, come, stay - all using hand signs
✨Doesn't jump up - she is well mannered and very calm for a pup
✨Food motivated
✨Walks well on lead
✨Good with cats and dogs
✨Has had a brief introduction to house training out on foster but this will need to be introduced once again - stripped back to puppy basics

Lola is still learning about the world, she she has been in kennels all her young life she has little to no experience with day to day life of a normal household. Everything in a home environment will be brand new and unfamiliar to her. Therefore we are looking for a patient, confident owner, who has experience with large dogs and can guide her through appropriate training, while providing plenty of enriching activities.
