Dog Trainer and Separation Anxiety Professional My name is Jenny Cartledge.Cert.SAPT, and I own Round of aPaws Dog Training which was established in 2020.

I have 2 dogs, Floyd who is now 8 years old and Mollie, who is about 15. When Floyd was much younger, he was a troubled soul so I enlisted the help of a brilliant Certified Behaviourist - Victoria Cooper. Her compassion and knowledge inspired me to study canine psychology, she took me under her wing, became my mentor, and I passed my Canine Behaviour Management with distinction. Since then, I have

studied many different courses relating to canine behaviour and training, attended numerous seminars and most recently graduated Julie Naismith's programme to become a Separation Anxiety Professional. I have studied with Compass Education, Canine Principles, IMTD, The Dog Training College, Amber Batson and many more. I hold a current canine first aid certificate and am currently studying The Behaviour Bible with The School of Canine Science. I am passionate about helping humans and dogs to live peaceful, happy lives in loving and caring homes. I work very closely with People and Dogs Dog Training and you will find various links to their website on my page. Methods
I use positive, reward based training methods which are kind, fun and force free. The welfare of your dog and the relationship you have with them is my highest priority.

Did you know Separation Anxiety training is done remotely? 🤔

Separation Anxiety training is especially suited to online training as our presence in your home will alter your dog's behaviour.

Dogs will never love being left alone, but we can help them to cope with it and teach them that they will be OK until you return. 🐶

For such a social animal, being separated from your family can be really scary.

Is your dog content to be left home alone?

Separation Anxiety is a serious, heartbreaking condition where your dog is scared to be alone. They are not 'acting out' or 'protesting' they are genuinely panicking.

Behaviours can include barking, howling, defecating, vomiting, drooling, destructive behaviours and self-mutilation.

Reactivity is an umbrella term to describe a wide range of behaviours such as barking, lunging, growling, staring, spinning and rough play to name just a few.

Over arousal on and off lead and usually indicates that your dog is fearful or frustrated.

Reactivity can be extremely upsetting and isolating 😞 If your dog is struggling with reactive outbursts we can help you .

Victoria is an accredited certified behaviourist and specialises in helping fearful and reactive dogs.

Calling dog owners - fancy trying something a bit different?

We are now running the first in a series of Covid friendly who-dunnit type classes for you and your dog on Monday or Tuesday evenings.

In these hour long, online, fully interactive and coached classes, you will collect the clues and perform simple training tasks with your dog to lead you to the culprit.

Take part on your own or with your family, all you need is a laptop with Zoom installed, your dog, some treats, water and pen and paper.

Limited places. Reward based trainer. Dogs should be over 6 months of age.

Someone stole the sausages!!!

Work as a team with your dog and have some much needed fun in this whodunnit mystery class. Fully interactive and coached, perform simple tasks and collect clues to solve the The Serious Scandal of the Stolen Sausages.
