Tash & I were back at Chatsworth yesterday, for a steady one 🐴
It was lovely and all of our riders and their beautiful horses were too❤️
Everyone's horses were so well behaved, it was hot and the horse flies made an appearance, but everyone did amazing.
We had such a fab time and at the very end you pop up from out of the woodland to the wonderful view of Chatsworth House, the pictures don't do it justice❤️ it's stunning.

Peak District Moors Ride & Camp - Fri 5th - Sun 7th July
Come ride with us.....
Have you ever imagined taking your horse on holiday with you and immersing yourself into the wonderful scenery of The Peak District.
Stay 2 nights and awake with the views of your horse out in the paddocks.
Three days of riding over moors and woodlands.
The trials have varied terrain with some river & stream crossings and a small amount of road work - mainly on country lanes.
There also maybe livestock, walkers & bike riders on route.
The Friday ride will roughly take 1 1/2 - 2 hours Moorlands & farm ride.
Saturday Ride (Moorland 2-3 hours)
Amazing scenery and tracks, looking over Curbar Edge and Barbrook Reservoir. This ride is a combination of all three gaits, walk/trot/canter in open spaces.
A small amount of road work will be involved for this ride.
Sunday Ride 1 1/2 - 2 hours via lovely bridleways, water crossings with road work along country lanes. There will be another opportunity for a steady canter before going home. And you can finish off you break with a canter along our farm ride.
This weekend is designed with riders in mind who would like to be able to walk/trot and canter in small groups along lovely tracks in open spaces over moorlands and fields.
We have a 20x40 outdoor arena which is included in your stay, but must be pre booked and you will have full access to our farm ride.
Ride times will be given on booking confirmation along with location details.
Check in between 10am & 12pm on Friday and check out from 3pm on Sunday.
Breakfast, BBQ packs & lunch boxes can be pre ordered before arrival.
Parking is included on the camp site for trailer or box.
Hay can be pre ordered before arrival.
Prices start from just 112.50 per night, per rider
The price includes a 2 night camping pitch, 2 night stay for your horse in one of our paddocks and the 3 days of guided rides.
A stable can also be hired for the duration of your stay at an extra cost.
We welcome groups of friends, duos & single riders.
For insurance purposes we can not allow anyone under the age of 18.
We allow tents, caravans, horse trailers or horse lorries per pitch.
We have a shared portaloo, shower and kitchen area.
Please bring your own bedding. There is no electricity on site.

Which is the best Go Pro to buy?
We are looking at investing in a camera for our guided rides, so we can share all of our videos with riders.
One other thing, we also need to know, what is the best way of holding the camera in place.
For our faster rides we are hoping to put the camera on the back of our hat or actually on our back to get great footage of the gallops in Chatsworth or on The Moors.
If anyone has any links to what they use or would recommend, would you mind popping them in the comments and we can go through them.

Sleepless nights here we come!
I would have to say that making hay is one of the most stressful, worrying, time consuming part of our business.
It's great when it's great and the warm weather shows up, but 2023 has seriously given us both nightmares that I don't think Dan or I have got over or ever will.
So anyhoo positive thoughts, 2024 will be a better season and it's started.
Our meadows have been mown and all we need now is Mr Sunshine to appear and fingers crossed we will have some lovely hay🤞
I have probably just jinxed myself🤣 by saying that!
We managed to mow, bale & wrap some lovely meadow haylage a couple of weeks ago, which is a big start🐴
This week will mainly see us running on not a lot of sleep, stressed to the max and weather watching every minute of the day🤣
Keep everything crossed for us❤️
🐴We have a brand new Guided Ride Camp planned.
☀️Fri 5th - Sun 7th July
This camp will be aimed at intermediate riders who enjoy walking, trotting and lovely calm, steady canters in small groups.
We will take you over some of the most beautiful moorlands within the Peak District along with total access to our farm ride.
This camp includes 2 nights camping, 3 guided rides & a secure individual paddock or stable for your horse (extra fee applies for the hire of a stable)
You will be riding and camping with a small group of like minded riders.
The cost per night, per rider is £120.50, which includes all of the above.
You can also upgrade your stay to include one of our comfy caravans to £130.50 per night, per rider.

🏇 We have two fabulous guided rides heading off this week.
🐴 Wednesday is Chatsworth, this ride is roughly 3 hours, over public bridleways, fields nipping through Edensor village and finishing off with a steady canter or gallop up the last field before heading back to the car park.
🐴Friday we are off over The Peak District Moors with Nicki & Winnie, via Bar brook Reservoir, over two Moors with amazing scenery and wonderful tracks lasting roughly 3 hours.
📍Meeting point for the Moor ride is Shilito Woods Holmesfield S18.
Chatsworth all details will be given on booking.
Each ride is £45 per rider and both rides will be meeting for 10am, aiming to be onboard for 10.30am.
We have a couple of spaces on each ride, if you can join us we would love to show you some of the best hacking we have to offer with the majority being off road❤️

I just don't know where to begin!
We have had the best weekend ever with the best group of ladies.
Our very first guided ride camp and it honestly couldn't have gone any better.
You guys were just the best and thanks again for booking with us and making this weekend a weekend to remember.
It was essentially a trail run for us and we didn't know what to expect, but it has gone beyond our expectations and we want more!!
Over the course of the summer we will be running guided ride camps with rides over The Peak District Moors, Chatsworth and so much more.
From confidence camps, advanced camps and children's camps we are hoping to invite riders of all abilities making their camp and rides with us just as special.
We are so lucky to have all of this amazing hacking so local to us, we want to share it.

You know that feeling when you find your space, pop your horse in the paddock and set up camp for the weekend, it's the best.....
No work for the weekend, just horse time 🏇🏇
Today was the first day of our very first guided ride camps and after stressing all week and thinking I had forgotten something, it turns out we pulled it off❤️
Everyone is just great, the horses settled really well and the first rides of the weekend went really well.
The weather has been super today and in the sunshine you can see for miles on our farm ride, if your not galloping across it of course 🤣
I didn't need to do all of that stressing after all!
Ride done and off to the The Tickled Trout everyone went🍻🍻 ready for Chatsworth & The Peak District Moors rides tomorrow🐴

🐴The Friday ride will roughly take 1 1/2 - 2 hours Moorlands & farm ride.

We are lucky enough to have a Cross Country, which you can hire, within a 5 minute hack away.
Ride times will be given on booking confirmation along with location details.
Check in from 12pm on Friday and check out at 3pm on Sunday.
Breakfast, BBQ packs & lunch boxes can be pre ordered before arrival.
Transport will be required for the short drive to Chatsworth, parking at Chatsworth is £10 and they will accept cash or card.
Parking is included on the camp site for trailer or box.
Hay can be pre ordered before arrival.
The price includes a 2 night camping pitch, 2 night stay for your horse in one of our paddocks and the 3 days of guided rides.

Wednesday we could ride the Monsal Trial or head out over The Moors for a shorter, more novice ride. I don't mind walking on foot for this one for the more novice/nervous riders.
Or how about a longer ride over The Moors, but just in a walk and trot.

❤️ I have been keeping my new little sidekick a bit of a secret.
He is 5 weeks old now, his mum abandoned him😔
She gave birth to him and then decided to leave him.
Dan found him, really cold and lifeless so I wrapped him in an old sleeping bag and dried him off and he lived at the side of a radiator in the utility room for a couple of days until he was strong enough.
Everyday he got stronger and now look at him, he is a monster!
He lives with the cows in the day and garage at night because he still feeds at night.
He is my new little dog, he follows us everywhere, he even comes in the car🙈
The plan is to hopefully put him back out in the field with some sheep friends ❤️
We know that sometimes the ride dates we add, don't always work for everyone. Work, childcare etc get in the way 🤣
We really want to work with you guys and help wherever we can.
The ride from Linacre Reservoir on Tues 4th June, so many of you would love to come with us, but the date doesn't work.
So, guys tell me what days/dates suit and we will see what we can do?

I have gone off track today as I took this video this morning of Dan enjoying his salt❤️ The horses love them, it's great to offer ad lib salt in the fields. With 8 big horses in this field we get down one every 6 weeksish and for just £15.25 they are a bargain. Simple System Horse Feeds salt tubs are just what they say on the tin 'Salt' nothing more and the tub is great to use for feeding etc when the salt is done.
