This lovely soul desperately needs a home without children or other pets 🙏
This little worried soul is Monty.
We don't usually share images of our shelter animals looking so anxious, but Monty is struggling in our care and sadly this is the reality we are faced with when we have been getting Monty ready for rehoming. We want to share his story in hope there is someone out there that will take a chance on this wonderful young man despite him looking a little unhappy compared to our other felines online.
Monty was left in the cold one winter afternoon at the shelter gates, he was absolutely petrified and only days before he had been castrated and needed antibiotics when he arrived as his castration wound was looking like it needed a little bit of help healing. We had no history on Monty at the time, but have since investigated his background. Monty hasn't had the best start in life, and he isn't showing his true potential here, that we know he will do in the right environment. Of course he is very overwhelmed, here after his past, and having to get used to our busy cattery.
Monty is now available for rehoming and is looking for a peaceful, adult only home with no other pets where he can slowly learn to trust his family and be shown just what it is like to be a much loved feline. We know that he will truly blossom when he learns to trust that we humans can be kind.
