Cardross road will be closed for the next few weekends for anyone heading that way who has an appointment in the salon. The diversion is all the way back to Helensburgh. Just so no one misses their appointments. 🙂
Cardross Road Resurfacing Works
Resurfacing works will be take place on Cardross Road, Dumbarton between the junction with Comleybank Lane and St Michael’s Primary School from Saturday 8th of July and Sunday 23 July and will be carried out over three weekends as follows;
8th July – 9th July
16th July
22nd July – 23rd July
Roadwork's will no longer take place on the 15th July to avoid additional traffic during the Loch Lomond Highland Games.
These works will take place from 08:00 hours-15:30 hours each weekend and the road will be closed to all through traffic during these times. Residents within Oxhill Road should follow directions from traffic marshalls who will direct them to the appropriate exit points when it is safe to do so. Vehicular access to properties will be restricted and residents who require access/egress to their properties during operational time are advised, if possible, to find alternative parking to minimise delays to journey times.
Access to the IMO Car Wash will be maintained throughout the closure via A814/A812 Renton Road Junction.
The road closure will be removed outwith these operational times to allow normal traffic flows to return.
Access to St Michael’s Church will be provided and visitors should speak to traffic marshalls onsite. The Council has an agreement with Scottish Passenger Transport to ensure the public can still travel during the road closure.
Diversion routes for vehicles will be:
Diversion Route North Via A812 Renton Road, B857 Main Street Renton, B857 North Main Street/Luss Road, A811 Luss Road roundabout, A811 Luss Road onto A82, North A82 to Arden, onto A818. Left at Crosskeys onto A818 Luss Road, A818 Sinclair Street to Helensburgh, onto A814 East Clyde Street towards Dumbarton back onto A814 Cardross Road and vice versa.
The diversion route will be clearly signed and drivers are advised to allow additional times for any journeys.
