Hope everyone is organisesd for Christmas next week! 🎄🎅 ( I'm not 🤣)

It's been super busy in my wee shop and forgot to post 📫 on this page

Still some afternoon availability for Xmas day for the field.

Thanks to everyone who continues to pick up 💩 after their dogs, puts fresh water in the bowl, picks up toys that have been used and parks in the space closest to the gate... THANK YOU!

As you all know I try my best to keep the field secure & safe for dogs and their humans everyday.

At this time of year the field isn't at its best but when hundreds of little Paws 🐾 are coming to the field every week it's only to be expected 😀.

I have always loved Dogs and horses 🐎 and as u can see from some photos below, it's when I am at my happiest 💖.

I can't believe it's nearly 4 years since I opened 😳! And the success is down to all my regulars and huge support I have from you all.

I can't Thank you enough, it's means so much.

I have just posted the Opening Hours over Christmas for my Shop🎄but as most of you know the field is open every day of the year !

It's just starting to turn a bit muddy which regulars will agree is later than normal. The rain last night and today/ tomorrow/ Sat will not help. 😞

If you are booked in on Saturday please check the weather as there is a weather warning ⚠️ for strong winds 💨.

If you want to change your booking for any reason Please message me the day/ evening before and I am happy to swap it to another date 📅. Or you can change it via your email.

The red tunnel blew 🌬over the fence and into the ditch last night 🌙 so I think that's a job for my Husband to do 👌🤣 when he is free!

If you don't follow my Shops Page please feel free to like it , Raw Meats and Treats as I have lots of reduced items, usually cheaper than larger Shops, Have a HUGE selection of Natural Treats and Toys for your dogs 🐕.

(And I will be doing a Photo Competition soon! And it will only be on my Shops F.B )

Morning Everyone 🥶

Just a reminder that my Annual Charity Christmas 🎄 Fayre is on THIS Sunday 24th Nov from 11am - 3pm at The Maxwell Memorial Hall in Kirkgunzeon.

All money raised will go to the amazing Dumfriesshire and Cumbria Greyhound Rescue 🐾.

Raffle Prizes include :

£75 voucher for Home Restaurant, Dumfries

Tickets are £1 each and we will choose the winners about 2pm.

"🥶🧊Brrr , Morning Everyone!
Goose here, Ceo of Mummy's Shop Raw Meats and Treats 🍗.

I was just out in the field helping Mum check the fence, sniffing out any poos 💩 and putting the kettle out in the Pup Hut and I wanted to let you all know there's availability after 1pm today .

It's going to be dry and cold so wrap up 🧣🧤.

I left my toy giraffe 🦒 in the field and it's frozen but I don't mind. Another job to add to Mums list today :
-Wash My Toys 🧸 🤣

Anyway, I best go and lay down in the livingroom as Mum takes the Boys to school soon.Then she takes us up the forest , Yip*e!

I've noticed an increase in 💩 not getting picked up 😥.

I have left the grass slightly longer to try and prevent the mud coming into the Winter months 🙃 but this is having an adverse effect on customers not seeing where their dogs have done the toilet.

PLEASE keep an eye 👁 on your dog at all times

🔦 If you are visiting the field after 4pm, bring a head torch 🔦

💡Remember there is a flood light in the field

💩 I will be putting up extra Poo Bag Holders down the fence line so there is no excuse not to pick it up.

Thank you to those of you who pick up after others, I really do appreciate it. 👌

I do walk the field every morning and every night 🌙 and I am concerned about some dogs poo when I am picking it up!

Its shouldn't be runny, or bright yellow or have bits in it.

Do not bring your dog to the field if it isnt well. This could spread to other dogs 🐕.

Also, Keep an eye on the weather 👀 .
If you don't want to come when it's raining just go to your conformation email the evening before and reschedule.

I cannot do this on the day of the booking

🎆FIREWORKS GUIDANCE TO HELP YOUR DOG FEEL SAFE 🙏

For some owners and dogs Bonfire 🎆 Night & Firework 🎆 season can be a huge source of stress!

I am one of the lucky owners..my dogs are not bothered about the loud bangs and screeches but anxiety can effect up to nearly 50% of Dogs during this awful time 😥.

Here are a few hints/ tips to help relieve your dogs anxiety.

🏖 If you can go away for the day / night if there are scheduled events near you, taking your dog to a quieter location/ area?

🚶‍♀️🐕 Take them for a long walk or give mental Enrichment - a tired Dog can help avoid being stressed & scared

💜 Stay Calm! Dogs pick up our stress 😩

🪟 Keep the curtains closed & provide a ' safe place '. This could be a den, on the sofa or extra covers on their bed with a cuddly toy 🧸

🎶🎵 Put on some relaxing music - Classical is usually the go to!

⚾️👃🦴 Give them a distraction - this could be snuffle mats, a new toy to play with or a long lasting chew

🐶 Anxiety coats and jumpers help your dog feel more secure & protected during loud noises 📣

🏨 In severe cases seek advice from your vet. They can prescribe 💊 something to help .

All of the above are just from my experience owning dogs.
Please speak to a professional Dog Trainer or Vet if needed ❤️.

I stock Feelwells Goodnight Oven Baked treats in my shop Raw Meats and Treats !

They are a delicious reward but are used in times of stress.
They are £2.99 a pack and can be fed daily or when required.

A reminder that the clocks go back this Sun ( 2am) so the field times will get adjusted accordingly depending on how dark it gets.
I've started to open at 8.30am through the week as it's just too dark to check the field when I'm up at 6.15am to feed the horses 🐎 and dogs 🐕.

Last booking is 6pm - 6.30pm at the moment. There is a flood light attached to our Big shed so if you are finding it dark please just switch it on 💡. However I would suggest to bring a head torch with you.

As it gets darker ⚫️ the weather is now changing 🌧🌂 too which means the field will start to get a bit muddy 😔. So please wear your Wellies!

I have made the decision to limit bookings to 2 cars maximum per session over the Winter ❄️ to Try and protect the field for longer.

I've noticed there can be 4 cars / 6 dogs paying £12 for the hour and hopefully you can understand this is not feasible 💰

🪵Remember to park infront of the logstore.
⏰️Don't arrive more than 5mins before your appointment
✋️Pick up your dogs poo 💩
🌉Close the gate behind you
🛑Don't let your dog dig in the field

A reminder that I will be away on Holiday from Fri so there will be no balls or tea/ coffee available in the Pup Hut.

The shop will be OPEN on ;

SAT 12TH 11AM - 2PM
WED 16TH 3PM - 6PM
FRI 19TH 11AM - 2PM
SAT 20TH 11AM - 2PM
MON 21ST 4PM - 7PM

I have friends coming 3 times a day to set up and check the field to ensure its kept to the same high standard.

Please remember to always pick up your dogs poo 💩

Keep your dog In the car 🚗 until the person before you is out

The weather is looking lovely for every day next week 🌞!

So you and your dog can enjoy a whole 2 acres of secured field to play and run in whilst enjoying the nice weather.

The parasol will be out, fresh water in the field, Pup Hut has refreshments, clean toys and agility jumps a plenty in the field.

30mins for £5
1 hour for £10 prices have been the same since I opened in 2021!

Dogs are like humans..they enjoy being outdoors!

The field is dry, some grass has been left slightly longer so your dog can have a roll or search for treats.

Good Evening Everyone 👋.

As most of you will know I have organised a Christmas 🎄 Fayre in the village hall for the last 3 years.

It's a charity event with all proceeds/ raffle money 💰 being donated to my chosen charity.

Last year wasn't as busy as usual..maybe it was the weather or is there too many local Xmas Fayres in the area already?

Please let me know how you feel.

I would be holding it probably end Nov on a Sat?? Or would a Sun suit more people?

I am more than happy 😊 to organise it. There would be about 12 stalls, home baking and tea / coffee, a raffle and maybe a Tombola stall.

Today is going to be a beautiful day 🌞 and looking good 👍 all weekend..yipp*e!
I'll try and get the grass cut ✂️ again tonight.

A few points to remember when visiting the field 🙏.

🐾 It's a safe place, calm and relaxed for owners and their dogs so please be patient and wait until the person before you is out the field before you get your dog out the car 🚗.

🐾 Poo picking has really improved...so Thank you! Always keep an eye on your dog 🐕.

🐾 All rubbish ( coffee cups/ litter/ broken balls ) to go in the bin 🗑.

🐾 Only Arrive 5 /10 mins before your appointment, no need to come too early ⏰️.

🐾 I know it's a Natural thing for dogs to do but please don't let your dog dig holes in the field.

🐾 Be mindful of the person who is booked in after you and be out the field on time 🙂.
