How cold is too cold for your pup? ⬇️ when returning home make sure to wipe your pups belly & paws to remove any salt/grit as this can be extremely toxic to dogs & cats.

I have tried to avoid adding charges for late/missed appointments, matted dogs etc… unfortunately due to an increase in both the following policies are effective from today and applies for all new and existing clients.
If you could all please read and familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions below prior to your next appointment.

Terms and Conditions
De-matting:
Our normal grooming prices do NOT include de-matting of severely matted dogs. If you refuse to have your dog shaved down we reserve the right to refuse to groom your dog. If this is required an extra £10 will be added to the grooming cost.
PLEASE NOTE: We groom with your dog's welfare as a priority. If the coat is severely matted we WILL shave the coat off.
In the event of any dog needing a shave down/clip down, the owner should be aware that irritation may occur from the shaving process, as well as uncovering nicks, cuts or other potential problems.

Allergies:
If your dog suffers from skin allergies, we advise you to provide us with a veterinary prescribed shampoo (e.g Malesab), otherwise we will use our own range of of products.

Cancellation/No Show/Late Arrival Policy:
We require at least 24hrs notice for cancellation of appointments. TIME IS RESERVED TO GROOM YOUR DOG. All appointments will incur a fee of £20 if cancelled within 24 hours of your appointment, payable BEFORE another appointment can be made. If you just simply do not turn up for your appointment and do not let us know you are not coming, the full groom fee will be charged and again must be paid prior to us making a new appointment. If you are 10 minutes late for your appointment it WILL be cancelled and a fee of £20 will be charged, payable BEFORE another appointment can be made.

Aggressive dogs:
You must inform us prior to grooming if your dog has ever bitten or displayed aggression Your attention is drawn to the Dangerous Dogs Act, which holds owners liable for bites and injuries caused by their dogs. We reserve the right to refuse to groom any pet at risk of harming the groomer or itself.

Examination:
We will also examine your dog for any irregular lumps or infections during the grooming process and if anything is found we will discuss it with you. Please note that this is not a professional medical examination as you would be given by your vet.

Your dog may be photographed before, during and after its groom. These images may be used on Curly Coats Dog grooming Facebook/Instagram pages etc. unless you specifically request us not to do so. Please ensure your dog has had an adequate chance to go to the toilet before you come to the salon. Please note that if your dog defecates or urinates during the grooming process and requires a second bath you may be charged appropriately.

Insurance:
At all times we have full Public Liability Insurance in the event of damage, accident or loss to your pet or our staff. Please ask for more details if necessary.

Just wanted to post the recommended grooming schedule for different dog breeds as I am unfortunately starting to see an influx of matted dogs coming in to the salon.
All groomers appreciate that every household is different and lots of different scenarios make it difficult for people to maintain a schedule like the ones below. To prolong the time in between full grooms daily brushing is a must. We also offer bath, brush & blowdries for £33 that will help to reduce/stop matting and help keep your pups coat in tip top condition.
