💫 Closed Until End of January 2024 💫

Hi everyone! Been a long time since I posted on here (thanks for keeping me so busy!) but thought best to put a wee update on!

I’ve decided to close from now until the end of January 2024 - although if you already have a booking between now & then, don’t worry, your lovely cats will still be looked after 😻 This only applies to new bookings.

As some of you know, I’ve been struggling a bit with my health recently & my Dad has been helping with bookings and/or chauffeuring me to visits.

Long story short, in October I was taken into hospital to find I have blood clots in my lungs & my recovery is extremely slow & very unpredictable just now - with what feels like regular hospital visits 🥴

I wasn’t too sure about sharing this but you all trust me with coming into your homes to look after your amazing cats, it’s only fair I’m also transparent with you.

I am also very behind with admin & messages thanks to this but I will get back to you all asap!

My Dad has been a godsend for Whiskers & Tails during this time but I’ve decided that it’s best for us all to take some time off to recuperate. I’d like to say January is my quieter month and while it’s not quite summer peak, it’s still busy but usually with last minute bookings which normally I can accommodate no problem - I just don’t want to let anyone down so I hope this is enough warning 😂

My 2024 diary will be open from February & is already starting to fill up 💫

Massive thank you to you all for using Whiskers & Tails this year & especially those in the last few months who have been so understanding of the situation & patient with me.

Look forward to seeing you all in 2024!

As part of Scotland's Gardens Scheme, one of our lovely customers are opening their garden up to the public for charity. They are supporting River Garden Auchincruive - a wonderful charity who support people on their recovery from addiction, it saves lives, grows people and helps remove the stigma associated with addiction.

☕️🍰 Tea, Coffee & Homebaking will be on offer to enjoy.
👨‍🌾 Some of the residents will be bringing produce from River Garden for sale.

It is a beautiful setting and for a great cause so if you are looking for something to do this Sunday, would highly recommend!

✨ Milo the Mouse Hunter ✨

This little guy used to bring me his ‘fishy’ or hunt hair bobbles to bring me as presents when he was a house cat.

He’s been allowed outside for nearly a year & tonight I got my first ‘gift’ 😭😭 I had hoped he had bypassed that instinct somehow but it was only a matter of time 🤦🏼‍♀️

Tried to tell him a bottle of Pinot Grigio is preferred if he wants to get me anything but I don’t think hunting a wine bottle is quite as fun.

Luckily, it’s only the third present I’ve gotten in my time as a cat sitter over the years but just a wee reminder to all your lovely felines that it is certainly not necessary 😹😹

Well the transition from Rosemary to Kristy was almost seamless but we’ve hit our first hurdle!

Happy Retirement Rosemary 🥳

Whiskers & Tails handover is now complete & Rosemary is officially RETIRED 🥳

Hello 👋🏼 It’s Kristy here … I now have the phone, page & diary & officially start with Whiskers & Tails tomorrow (although I have been on W&T duty for last week or so).

Just wanted to wish Rosemary a massive massive thank you for letting me take over this amazing business - I’m so excited for what’s to come & I’ve loved being your assistant over the years ☺️

Wishing you a happy & peaceful retirement & maybe the odd cat shift if I need cover 😉

You’ve built up such a brilliant business and I know you will be missed by your clients and their cars alike! But now time to put the feet up and enjoy your retirement with Toby 🐈

✨ Whiskers and Tails Announcement ✨

For the last 5 years I have had the honour of meeting all your wonderful cats and looking after them while you go on your travels (and the honour of meeting the owners too I should add)! However, the time has come for me to lock the Dreamies in the cupboard for good and so I have decided to retire from Whiskers & Tails from the 31st August 2022.

However!! It is not the end for Whiskers and Tails as my holiday assistant, Kristy, has agreed to take over the business. Some of you may have already met Kristy before, or she may have looked after your cats for you. A fellow crazy cat lady so you know you will be in safe hands.

That said, any bookings from September 1st 2022 will be with Kristy and will be organised accordingly. Please continue to message the page for dates and further information as we are working together to make the transition as easy as possible.

I’d just like to take the opportunity to thank all my lovely clients who have helped my business grow over the last few years and have trusted me to look after their pets - I’ve loved every single one of them!

Yet again Toby has been in the wars which entailed another visit to the vet including an overnight stay. He got this bandage on his leg as he had hurt his foot, the vet said it may stay on a couple of days,but cats seem to get them off.
I’m going to do a wee competition. If you’d like to win a bottle of wine and some dreamies for your cat, tell me your answer in hours, minutes, or seconds how long you think he kept it on for. The nearest will win, good luck 😻😻
