Customer Notice

Please can I remind everybody if you " forget" to attend your appointment or cancel with less than 48 house notice your appointment requires to be paid for in full before I will book you another appointment.

I am self employed, so if you don't attend your appointment, I don't get paid. Like you, I also have bills to pay, plus you are depriving another customer of an appointment.

All appointments must be paid for on the day that your dog is groomed. Like any other business I do not run a credit system.

Appointment times matter, so please attend on time for both drop off and pick up. Late arrivals will now be classed as a "no show".

June and July are pretty much fully booked so if you can't make your appointment I would suggest you ask a friend or family member to bring your dog for you so that you don't miss out.

Customer Notice

I just wanted to make you all aware that I have only a few appointments left between now and the end of June. I no longer work a 5 day week so appointments are even more limited. Please book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

I will let you all know when I am accepting booking from July-December so you can all block book until the end of the year.

⚠️ At Berwick we have had our first suspected Adder Bite case of the year⚠️

We would strongly advise clients with dogs to exercise caution when out walking in known hotspots for Adders in your area.

Adders will only usually bite when they are disturbed.

If you suspect your pet has been bitten -
⚠️Do not put pressure or a bandage on the puncture site.
⚠️Keep the dog as still as possible - carry if possible or wait for someone to bring a vehicle.
⚠️Call your Vet ASAP - adder bites require prompt emergency treatment for the best outcome.

New Year New Prices!

In order to keep my business afloat, and to cover my ever increasing overheads, I have no choice but to put my prices up.

This price increase comes into effect today and I will inform you of your new price when you drop your dog off.

Every dog is priced individually and prices are graded on your dogs breed, age, coat condition, size, temperament and the frequency of your grooms.

The new prices work out at a £1 increase for each year that I have been trading.

Just when we all thought this horrendous time of year was over, I've heard that Belhaven school are having a firework display on Friday between 1800-1900.

Unfortunately my diary is constantly fully booked with all my wonderful regular clients and I have no space for any new customers.
As l have been in business for a long time now, sadly, I have recently lost a lot of my canine customers over the rainbow 🌈 bridge. This is absolutely heartbreaking for me 😭💔

Unfortunately it's foxtail season again 😞 Foxtail plants are a weed-type grass that can cause serious problems for animals!
Ear infections, nosebleeds/rhinitis, pyothorax, abscesses and tetanus are just SOME of the serious issues that can come from these little guys! If you notice your pet repeatedly sneezing, pawing at their ears, coughing or acting uncomfortable, these could be signs of a possible foxtail and should seek medical attention as soon as possible.

With the school summer holidays fast approaching I find at this time of year some customers
" forget" that they had a grooming appointment and don't turn up or wait until they receive their appointment reminder the day before and then try and reschedule because they have made other plans. Please don't be that person.

If you don't know when your next appointment is please message me and I will let you know. I am working some very long hours at the moment so that I can accommodate you all before the holidays. I now have no free appointments for at least the next 8weeks.

Direct pets also provides a fantastic pick n mix biscuit service which is much cheaper that buying packets of treats and have a great grain free range for sensitive stomach's. Just around the corner from Galedin Vets 👌in the industrial estate at the end of the A1.

Customer Notice

When you attend your next appointment you will notice that I no longer have livery on my van. This is because I am so busy I no longer need to advertise my business. Don't panic I have no intention of retiring just yet. I may have been round the track a few times but there is life in this old dog yet 😆

As you all know for some years I have not taken on any new clients and that's the way I intend things to continue. I prefer to dedicate my time and efforts into providing the best possible service for all my existing lovely customers.

I would like to remind everybody that both you and your dog/s are my customers and if your dog sadly crosses the Rainbow Bridge and you decide to get another one both you and your new dog are always very welcome back to Wags to Riches Dog Grooming😘

Ball launchers are sadly becoming increasingly more popular. Many people don't realise the long term damage they cause to dogs ligaments, joints, muscles etc resulting in big vets bills and arthritis later in life.

Do your dog and your wallet a favour and ditch the ball launcher and find another game to play😊

Apologies for the lack of posts recently but it has just been soooo busy over recent weeks. Please can I take this opportunity to remind everybody of some house keeping rules to make things run as smoothly as possible.

Please be on time for drop off and pick up.

Please walk your dog before you come and bring them on a lead.

All grooms must be paid for on the day of your appointment.

Please don't wait until you receive your appointment reminder to tell me you can no longer come. Any cancellation made with less than 48hrs notice require to be paid for in full before I will make you another appointment.

I will answer all of your enquiries I have received over the weekend by the end of the day. I have no free appointments available for the foreseeable future.
