Waggy Trails Offering walking/sitting services for your K9' furbabies' in the Dunbar and surrounding area I will walk no more than 4 dogs at a time.

My name is Gregor Black and I am a friendly and outgoing dog walker offering walks throughout the day and weekends in the Dunbar and surrounding areas. Your 'furbaby' will be walked for a full hour but will most probably be in my care for anything up to 2 hours. Dogs will initially be lead walked until a bond of trust is established. I have 3 of my own hairy bairns, Diesel, Storm and Oakley, who m

ay join us on our adventures from time to time. Tariff is from £10 per hour walk per dog depending if your dog needs to be walked solely or as part of a small group, discounts available for multiple pets from same household, block bookings and loyal, regular customers. Public liability insurance in place.

Everyone would expect my pages to be about dogs, and that's understandable. It's also about furpals, and more importantly furbabies. Last night my wee girl passed away in my arms. She was over 9 years old and she was my baby from about 2 weeks old.
I was driving along Brodie Road when I saw her lying in the roadway, crawling towards the middle of the road, covered in blood. I decided to do a u-turn and move her out of harms way, or to put her out of her misery. She had obvious head trauma and her left eye was bulging out.
So, having considered options A and B, I went for option C and took her home. Lynn immediately cuddled her ( despite the presence of some fleas). We didn't expect her to last the night. We nursed her with warm milk and honey, bathed her and kept her warm. She did survive. Her eyesight wasn't the greatest and sometimes she'd get a fright if you came up on her left side.
We tried numerous charity groups but when they heard she was a grey, they lost interest. By the time she'd fully recovered we felt she was too used to dogs, wouldn't cope in the outside world, and would probably be mauled by the first dog she met.
So she became a member of the gang. She scared the s**t out of Storm when she went walk about in her ball. If a visiting pooch gave her grief she gave them the 'tude right back.
She loved a mini jammy dodger ( birthday treat) and was quite partial to a party ring, at the weekend when the others were getting their treats.
It will always amaze me that all the dogs that pass through my doors accepted her as part and parcel of Waggy Trails, but would chase a squirrel if they saw one outside!
I'm going to miss her sitting on her bridge when I come down in the morning, to her singing, to her cuteness overload when cleaning herself, to cuddling her, to all my problems and worries disappearing when I stroked her and played with her. I wish I'd done it more often and for far longer.
Many will say "it's just a squirrel" and I'll say " Is it 'just a dog'?" She was my Vee-vees and I'm going to miss her terribly. I'm hoping the rainbow bridge isn't just for dogs, and I'm hoping she's sitting on Storm's back right now. RIP Vee-vees 💕💕

Introducing 8 month old Vizsla, Reeva, on her first walk with Waggy Trails this morning. She only had eyes for Hunter and the pair didn't stop chasing each other and playing for the entire walk. Big hangy out tongues by the end! 🤣

Introducing our newest member, 2 year old hearing dog, Magic on his first walk, with the gang, today. Sula, soon introduced herself, wouldn't take no for an answer, and off they went to play. Hugo tried to join in but they only had eyes for each other. He had to settle for photo bombing the last photo instead! 🤣
