Our fantastic Dundee store is looking to expand its team!
This position is for a part-time sales assistant.
This may include weekends and bank holidays.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in all areas of fish keeping, with some previous experience in retail, as well as fishkeeping with an enthusiasm for the hobby. The role involves aiding in the day to day maintenance of the store including caring for the wide variety of livestock that we carry and serving customers. High standards of customer service are important to our business and applicants should be enthusiastic and professional.
The person we are looking for should be a positive practical individual who is keen to be part of a strong happy team of staff who enjoy working in their vocational career.
As a Part time sales assistant, the job will require the following;
· Deliver excellent standards of livestock care and store presentation.
· Greet all our customers in an articulate, approachable and friendly manner to maintain our high standards of customer care.
· Communicate your fishkeeping knowledge clearly to customers with varying levels of experience and maintain our policy of responsible fishkeeping.
· Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
· Complete sales correctly and efficiently ensuring customers leave the store fully satisfied.
· Getting merchandise out onto the shop floor, organizing stock neatly on the shelves and making sure it's correctly priced and available.
· Be self-motivated, positive and organised.
· Be reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic to learn.

Aqua Nutrition Pond sticks are exclusive to Fishkeeper Scotland and are the staple in our range. The sticks are suitable for all coldwater fish including all goldfish varieties, orfe, rudd, mirror carp and grass carp. Pond sticks should be fed throughout the summer season when the water is warm, up to 3 days daily, depending on the filtration of the pond. Always keep an eye on water quality when increasing the quantity of feeding as uneaten fish food is a big contributor to high nitrite levels in ponds.
Composition:
White Rice, Soya, Maize, Prairie Meal, Wheatgerm, Fish Meal, Salmon Oil, Spirulina, Vitamins and Minerals
Analytical Constituents:
Protein 23%, Fat 3%, Fibre 3%, Ash 5%

Aqua Nutrition Variety sticks are a mix of coloured floating sticks for all coldwater fish. Suitable for all coldwater fish, these sticks are each designed to bring out the best in your fish whether it be energy, growth or colour. Feeding your fish a varied diet with our variety stick is a great habit to get into, and is easier than ever now it’s all in one tub. Feed your fish up to 3 times daily throughout the season (April - September).
Composition:
Rice, Soya, Maize, Prairie Meal, Wheatgerm, Fish MEal, Salmon Oil, Spirulina, Colourants, Vitamins and Minerals
Analytical Constituents:
Protein 23%, Fat 3%, Fibre 3%, Ash 5%

Aqua Nutrition Flake Food is perfect for fish with smaller mouths! Used most commonly for goldfish, Aqua Nutrition flake food is easy to eat for all small fish under 4 inches including goldfish varieties, orfe, rudd and even small koi. Flake should be fed little and often to these fish who have very small stomachs. Please note that larger fish will benefit from being fed a pellet or flake to satisfy their appetite.
Along with small fish, flake food is also great to feed to fry if you are lucky enough to be rearing any. Avoid adding flake to the water next to the fast-moving water of a waterfall or fountain as this will make the food more difficult to eat for small fish.
Composition:
Wheat Feed Flour, Soya, Wheat, Fish Oil, Vitamins and Minerals
Analytical Constituents:
Protein 15%, Fat 3%, Fibre 3%, Ash 3.5%

Do not feed below 10°c, at low temperatures it is best to offer a Wheatgerm based food.
