I keep telling myself I will get better at updating on here. I just get caught up in life and the horses 🤷‍♀️🦄

Oh such busy times here, in a good way - we don't mention the recent whacky weather, which the horses handled better than me as I wittered quietly in a corner. Thankfully we'd done enough battening down of the hatches to stay pretty much in one piece.

As a marker of getting past that we cracked on with a new diddy paddock (such useful wee thinkgs), new seating, and seating-with-ned-holding area. This has made me happy. The horses have no hecks to give on the matter, but the owners seem to like so that's grand.

As an aside, there are two spaces for the right horses to come and join a really nice herd. All out 24/7/365 as it helps keep those joints moving, pleanty of shelter, hardstanding, ad lib hay, daily updates to owners, and all the usual care of these beautiful creatures. They do have to put up with me talking rubbish as a general rule, and so far they've all been most kind and not put in too many complaints to Customer Services 😁

If you'd like to come and see the yard and talk about your beloved horse you'll be more than welcome.

Just got my first Christmas card…

For anyone who doesn’t already know:

The happy pants ranch charity has been a safe sanctuary home to over 450 abused and special needs animals for 10 years, as well as working with the local community striving to improve mental health and wellbeing issues through the therapy the animals and the sanctuary provides.

Now it faces closure unless we can raise enough funds to relocate…

These special animals and all its community volunteers need a new site to call their own after Swale council issued an eviction notice to the charity on December 3rd for just 9 months time.

Having only moved just 4 years ago, all the charity’s money was ploughed into the current site and therefore now has no funds to move with.

If the sanctuary cannot relocate by the end of the 9 month deadline - September 3rd 2025 - the animals and founder will all be made homeless.

Please donate what you can to try to save this amazing place for both animals and humans. These animals and local community must not suffer because of a council decision. We cannot allow this to happen.

If you can’t donate please just share to help raise awareness of this desperate situation…
