It’s nearly Christmas 🎄 and it’s a time for giving! Instead of exchanging presents this year, Active Paws has set up a fundraiser for the wonderful Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home. Our connection to them is that in March this year, they allowed us the absolute privilege of adopting gorgeous Alan and we want to give back. All the wonderful work they do is done without any government funding and they rely on donations to help so many dogs and cats. Please consider supporting this wonderful charity 🎄

PARVOVIRUS: Please read

A number of cases of parvovirus, which can be fatal to dogs, especially unvaccinated puppies, have been confirmed in Fife in recent weeks.

Parvovirus is a highly infectious viral disease which attacks the gastrointestinal tract and immune system in dogs, causing severe diarrhoea and can be fatal. The virus is spread through faeces.

Symptoms of the virus include lethargy, not wanting to eat, vomiting and bloody diarrhoea which in some cases can be extreme.

If your dog is showing signs of the virus, please contact your vet immediately and let me know as soon as you can.

I’d ask all owners to ensure that their dogs are up to date with all their routine vaccinations.
