🎉🎉🎉 THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE YEAR 🎉🎉🎉

On this last day of 2024, we would like to say a huge 'thank you' to everyone who has helped to make Culross Stables Community Hub into a thriving and vibrant place for all.

It's been an incredible year and we would like to give a special thank you to our hard working staff team, our many volunteers and helpers, our activity providers, and all who have donated their time, energy, skills and home baking & tablet - together you have helped us create a community place where classes and activities were available on 328 days of the year, excluding our holidays, meaning we had something on offer a phenomenal 99% of the available days!

This year has seen a transformation of our outdoor spaces with the completion of our Community Bakery in March, its extension in October, Anchor Garden make-over in March, new back gates fitted in May, the outdoor kitchen constructed & creation of raised beds in July, CCTV fitted in August, flat roof repaired in September and new outdoor decking laid in October.

We are also well on our way towards raising the 5% contribution towards our new replacement roof project, due to take place in 2025.

If you would like to be a part of the Culross Stables community, our activities are listed above or come along to the Community Crust & Bakery from 12 noon on a Friday and make yourself at home.

Doors open again on Monday 6th January for Toddlers group.
Until then, we would like to wish you a very happy and healthy New Year.

Clare, Elaine, Martin & Robin

Fantastic news, Christmas has come early for Culross Stables!
We've secured 71% of the funding for our new roof from Fife Environment Trust and now await advice from Fife Council Common Good Fund on their support for an additional 25%. Meanwhile, our own fundraising is on track to raise our share.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our activities, bakery and community crust.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all again w/c 6th January 2025.

Brussels sprouts, Brussels sprouts!
Every Christmas we roll you out!
We might not love you, but it’s true,
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas, without you.

Harvested at Bo'mains Farm yesterday, only 3 miles away as the crow flies, across the river from Culross, these delicious sprouts will be for sale at Culross Stables from 11am tomorrow - along with bread, scones, cakes, eggs, Brewster's potatoes, jam, chocolate spread, honey and tablet.

We also have 'who gives a crap' toilet rolls, a must for everyone's Christmas stocking. 🤣🤣🤣

Our thanks to Kim for donating the fabulous tablet and to Fay our new volunteer in our wee shop.

All profits from our wee shop support the activities at Culross Stables.

Culross Stables Community Hub were delighted to gift our community building to Cairneyhill Scouts this weekend to work towards their volunteering badge.

Believe it or not, the young Scouts hoovered, brushes, scrubbed and cleaned all the surfaces in the building and the window cleaning was world class, and all before 10am, after, I am told, a late night!

By 1030am the team of volunteers were off for a walk around the historic village of Culross with black bags and litter pickers in hand to ‘do their bit’ to keep Culross beautiful.

Thank you to David & Jane of Cairneyhill Scouts for organising and volunteering their weekend to show the next generation the joys of volunteering within your community and the hard work that is required to improve community assets and tsking responsibility for keeping our surroundings clean and tidy.

I think the young Scouts enjoyed the luxury indoor camping experience and having a choice of electric dishwasher to choose from! The Stables Trustees thanked the team with fresh pizza for their volunteering efforts on behalf of the village of Culross.....And after such a hard shift, they will be welcomed back in the Summer 2025 to help with some painting jobs and to help with the allotment.
It is the start of a wonderful partnership.
