What a busy week. Plenty of cuddles, happy dogs and general nonsense 🤦🏼♀️😃
I hope you all enjoy my gallery 🐾
Groom Groom Dog Grooming Services is a home-based professional Dog Grooming salon located in Dunfermline.

In November 2020 I completed the Level 3 City and Guilds Diploma in Dog Grooming with my final three do

Parvovirus in Fife
You might have read about the recent outbreak of Parvovirus in Fife.
It's important to be well informed so I have added a link to the Blue Cross website for you to read.
Please keep your dog off the grass when you come in and make sure you understand about the risks and prevention of Parvo. Any signs of your dog being unwell, even if vaccinated, do not come to your appointment and call to rearrange.
Let's keep our doggies as safe as possible 🧡
Canine parvovirus is a highly contagious disease that can be fatal to dogs. Puppies aged six weeks to six months are most at risk. Read our expert advice to prevent your dog getting parvovirus.
A busy week of gorgeous dogs.
A month away from Facebook!! Unhelpfully, they're all in reverse order 😃
Here is a selection of July's wonderful dogs.
And that's that!
The school holidays start today and it's down tools for me too to spend some lovely time with Gav, the boys and the doggies ☀️
Here are some of this week's visitors 🧡
Another week.
Another gallery of dogs .
I love my job 🧡🐾
Remember, summer holidays soon. I've hardly any appointments left. Most of you have been on the ball for a change and booked ahead 😃
ROADWORKS
Please remember to leave extra time if you're having to drive through the roadworks at the roundabout by train station.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes over your appointment time it's unlikely I will be able to groom your dog. I've very few available appointments over the next month or so.
The roadworks are due to last until November 😬
What makes a groom? Quite a lot actually....
I've talked about grooming a spaniel before so today I'll talk about a Cockapoo.
1. Ensure the dog is fit and healthy enough to be groomed. Nose to tail health check.
2. Brush thoroughly. Remove all knots and matts 🫤
3. Roughly clip off the hair to the right length to avoid washing and drying coat that's coming off anyway!
4. Bath: Shampoo x 2. Conditioner - this is attracted to the negatively charged shampoo. It helps to destroy bacteria and coats the hair shaft making it less prone to knotting!
5. Blaster dryer to remove most of the water, help straighten the coat and lets me see the skin for any issues.
6. Finishing dryer, brushing and combing to set the coat ready for clipping.
That's the prep work complete!
7. Clip.
8. Scissor finish legs, scissor tail, face & feet.
9. Mini trimmers to clear pads.
10. Big trimmers for sanitary area, armpits etc.
11. Cut nails.
12. Clean ears.
13. Re-check for stray hairs!
14. Spritz of cologne.
15. Cuddle dog 🧡
I've kept it brief but I think us groomers earn our money!
I hope you're still awake and enjoy my gallery 😃🐾
Not much going on this week as I need 2 days off but the dogs I did have in, I absolutely loved grooming.
I've had to remove quite a few ticks recently and lots from Zoe and Roxy's coats. Be sure to keep your flea and tick treatment up to date and check your dogs regularly.
⭐ Not everyone is seeing my posts so if you like my weekly dogs please be sure to give them some likes to keep them visible ⭐
🐾
Slightly less dogs than usual but no less busy! Lots of hair so lots of work and longer groom times 💪🏼
My diary is pretty much full until the end of July now. Lots of you were very organised and got your appointments booked in. Well done! 😃
Don't forget to check your dogs regularly for ticks. Just taken quite a few of the dogs. Thankfully they were still wandering around their coats!
I hope you like my gallery.

What a lovely Friday. No, not the weather, my two Friday grooms 🥰
When I started grooming I used to take before and after photos to show myself that I actually did make a difference. Now it's just for fun 🥳
I hope you enjoy this week's gallery.
Looking forward in the diary, it's 7 weeks until the school holidays. If you need a groom before then please get in touch as I'm running out of appointments.
A good week at work. Had to take a day off but still got plenty done.
I hope you enjoy this week's gallery ⭐
A weekend groom!
Little Willow had to make it into my gallery as she was the first dog I groomed on the first day of Groom Groom in 2017.
I haven't groomed her since but she was such a good girl today and so easy to work with so she gets a post all to herself.
It was great to see her again 🤍
No apologies for the quantity of photos this week!
Wonderful dogs AND a superstar ⭐ Can you find her?
What a busy week 🐾
It's been a busy week but a wonderful week. Lots of beautiful dogs in for a haircut and plenty of cuddles. It's a lovely job 🥰
I've taken a half day today as it's my birthday.
52 today 😬 🥳🍷
Have a super weekend everyone 🧡
Phew! First full week back and I'm glad it's the weekend!
Grooming requires physical strength, a calm approach and plenty of stamina! Some grooms take up to 3hrs whereas others, only an hour.
This week I had it all. This can be down to coat type, temperament, size of dog, coat condition or whether it is a hand strip or clip.
I love my job and there's no doubt that a well groomed dog is a happy dog 😊
Have a lovely weekend everyone 🐾
Originally planned as an admin day before starting back 'properly' on Monday. That soon changed as I realised how busy January already is so three dogs it was 💪🏼
Back to my weekly post next week 🐾
Well, that's the holidays over. And it's a Happy New Year!
Back to work this morning and little Tilly was in. I had to cancel her December appointment as I was unwell so she was glad to see me... I think 😄
I'm feeling much better too. Still coughing though. It was a rough month 🐾
And that's it for this year ⭐
It's been a tough month and I'm still unwell. Thanks to everyone who's listened to me moaning about it 😬
Time now to focus on Christmas and spending time with my family 🧡
Just as important, thank you for another year of continued business, trusting me to look after and groom your dogs. It really is the best job in the world 🧡
Happy holidays everyone 🐾

Today's (Winter) Top Tip If you have a dog that wears a winter jacket, in particular an Equaflleece type, please make sure you brush and comb all of the coat when you take it off. Every time ⭐ By not doing so the knots and mats can build up and it becomes so big a job to de-tangle, the coat needs to be removed ☹️ Roxy had hers on for about an hour and she had knots in her legs, bottom bits 🤭 chest and armpits 🤦🏼♀️ She's back to being knot free again after a bit of work. Any questions, just ask 🐾
