Im Gegensatz zu uns Menschen haben Hunde nur am Nasenspiegel und an den Pfoten Schweissdrüsen. Somit können sie auch nur sehr begrenzt schwitzen. Dadurch sind sie besonders gefährdet zu überhitzen oder einen Hitzschlag zu erleiden.

I'm so excited to share this with you 😁😁😁
I've put together this Wildlife Care Starter Pack. It has been designed for Veterinary Practices to highlight and introduce products that can assist with first aid and emergency care of wildlife casualties.

Working within general practices, I feel there is a need for basic equipment to be routinely stocked to help deal with wildlife casualties and that is why I have decided to create this pack. This is my own opinion, which I have formed through learning about wildlife nursing and dealing with wildlife casualties.

This pack includes; a small animal carrier, mini hot water bottle with a cover, small blanket, birdseed, avian insect mix, herbivore liquid feed, electrolyte replacement powder, oral rehydration fluid, aids to assist with oral fluid therapy and nutritional support and an information guide.

“I have been using Hydrate for 2-3 years now, I do canicross and so my dogs exert a lot of energy and need the best hydration possible both before and after a race/event. I mainly use it at events or races but I also use it on a daily basis espically in the warmer summer months (they love hydrate frozen treats)

I also travel a fair bit with my dogs to other countries so I use Hydrate every time I travel with them . I give them 50ml mixed with a little water every 3 hours travelling to make sure they stay hydrated . My spaniel also gets tummy upsets fairly often so I use it to make sure she is hydrated and to get the calories back into her .

My friend recently got a beagle puppy which was very underweight and badly malnourished, it could not eat anything nor keep anything down not even fluids and even the vet was worried . I have her a few bottles of my Hydrate I had to give a little every hour with small pieces of chicken and my friend swears this is what really saved his life .

Both my girls love the taste of it (as do any other dog I share it with) I always have a supply in the dogs cupboard ready to use when I need it”

Not a lot happened in 2020, so here's a throwback from 2019. Hayley and Teal were competing at the European Open Agility championships, Hydrate+ proved to really help hydration and recovery during both travel and competing. "When I travelled to the Netherlands in July for the European Open Championships it was 42degrees, to say I was grateful for the product was an understatement! Knowing my dog was hydrated in this temperature made me feel more comfortable that he would still be able to perform at his best. He made the final and came 5th, 0.04seconds off the winner, which after 6 months out with illness this year was phenomenal. Teal gets very stressed with travel and two days taking multiple ferries and Eurotunnel was a long time that he refused to drink for!! I offered him the hydrate every time we stopped and not only did he drink it- he absolutely loves it (a big deal, for a fussy sheltie!) I will be making sure Teal always has a bottle of hydrate available for when he competes next year, not only in the summer but also at major events" Thanks Hayley and Teal for the amazing feedback and lets hope competing resumes in the near future. We would love to help keep you Hydrated along the way.
