This week we put our very eager volunteer cooper up to the test 🐾 Water intake can be a struggle for so many dog owners. So we wanted to show just how effective Oralade Active can be when it comes to enticing your four legged companion to hydrate 💦

Needless to say, Cooper picked a clear winner and had no problem quenching that thirst 💧

It is difficult to put into words the immeasurable loss of such an influential and dedicated man. Simon dedicated his whole life to British Wildlife, working tirelessly to give animals the seconds chance that they deserve. It has been such a privilege to have supported Simon and his team over this last 6 years.

I loved his passion for helping all animals and his no nonsense approach to life. Simon was a real character, a friend I will never forget.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with the news we received today on little fox cubs Mavis and Scully 🥹🦊

You might have seen this little pair recently arrived into the care of Wildlife Aid with toxin ingestion. Both were collapsed on arrival and barely responsive.

Whilst one little cub responded to treatment in 24 hours, Mavis struggled to recover and continued to display serious neurological issues, including lack of coordination, constricted pupils and an inability to swallow. Thankfully due to the determination of all the team at Wildlife Aid and a little help from Oralade Mavis turned a corner.

We are thrilled to say this little pair have pulled through and made a full recovery!

Incredible work from everyone Wildlife Aid 👏 The thought that our products could help in their recovery and seeing animals thrive is one of the reasons why we love what we do 💙💙

Luther is a Brittany that was rescued by SOS from Spain after being dumped by hunters 😢
He was skin and bone, so when Helen got him from the fosterer, it took time to build up his weight,muscle and help Luther with his separation anxiety.
“Luther is a typical Brittany in the fact that he has oodles of energy, excitable but very sensitive.
I introduced him to FlyBall, as I had retired my 2 English Springers.
Training has been slow and careful to get him to the point where he is now, which is absolutely loving the hype.
However, it became obvious that during a long day of racing, he would tire and not capable of maintaining a consistent time when running.
Now, I don’t mind at what speed he runs, but wanted to do everything that I could do to make sure he felt at his best each time he was to race.
I do all the warm up/cool down exercises/ magnetix coats etc etc.
However, since chatting to Dave Caddell Blue Sky Flyball Teams , tried the Oralade Active.
It absolutely made a difference…. He managed to maintain his usual speed throughout the day.
He loves the chicken flavour, ensures he drinks despite the excitement of the environment.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing company, Oralade for their incredibly generous donation of bottles of Oralade.

This product is amazing for dogs experiencing health issues such as diarrhea or sickness or even coming out of major surgery and needs some hydration.

We highly recommend it and use it constantly for the dogs in our sanctuary, as well as those who come to any of our stations.

‘Movement: Moving more for our mental health’ is the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week 2024, and have done just that!👏👏

We all know someone who battles with their mental health or are touched with struggles during our own lives. This week are showing you how their fur friends inspire them to keep active, how being part of a team and joining something new, whether it be a club or Flyball team in this case, encourages us to get outdoors, interact with others and the outside world and MOVE MORE FOR MENTAL HEALTH 🌍

This is a fox cub fighting for her life.

Rushed to us by the RSPCA, "Brooke" was so collapsed on arrival that despite both Paddy and volunteer vet, Mandy's, attempts, her blood pressure was too low to successfully receive an IV drip.

With her blood sugar at a worryingly low 0.7mmol/L (normal range being 5-6), the cub was at serious risk of going into hypoglycaemic shock. Sadly, this is a state that we see many cubs arriving in, at this time of year, and our vet team is pushed to the brink, trying and save each and everyone.

After administering both subcutaneous fluids, glucose gel, and offering Oralade we are now all keeping our fingers crossed that she was found in time to bring her back to a full recovery.

Please, help support more cubs, like Brooke, as we now enter the time of year that brings fewer bottle feeds and more illnesses and injuries.
