On a funny note on Small Business Saturday, here’s a little behind the scenes moment from business life 👇

I had an enquiry come in at lunchtime and I replied in the evening only to find I’d already been blocked on WhatsApp!

As much as I’d love to reply instantly to every message, it’s just not possible. I’m juggling other clients, classes, admin, and, believe it or not, a personal life too!

So if I don’t get back to you quite quickly enough and you decide to go elsewhere or don’t require services that’s totally fine, honestly no hard feelings at all! You definitely don’t need to block me… I promise I won’t chase you 😂

It’s Small Business Saturday, so I wanted to take a moment to share a little bit about me and the job I’m incredibly lucky to call my own.

Thaxted Pet Co. is now approaching its 10th anniversary, and what a decade it has been. I’ve met so many wonderful people - some of whom have become great friends - and countless amazing pets, furry and not so furry. Every one of them has shaped this journey in the best way.

Over the past ten years there have been plenty of changes, both personally and in the business, but one thing has always stayed the same: my reason for doing what I do. Supporting owners and their pets will always be at the heart of Thaxted Pet Co.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m excited to see what the future holds ♥️

Today’s learning: subtle signs of festive stress: lip licking, yawning, head turns, paw lifts, or suddenly going still.

Day 5!

Try this simple festive treat:

🥕 1 grated carrot
🍌 1 mashed banana
🍗 1 tbsp dog-safe peanut butter

Mix, spread thinly, bake 10 mins at 180° and break into tiny training treats.

Soft, gentle on tummies, and perfect for training sessions too. 🎅🐾

🎄What a lovely end to the term! ✨

Tonight we wrapped up our final class of the year with a festive twist and it couldn’t have been sweeter.

A massive well done to our course finishers (swipe to see a very excited Bea 🤣) and a special shoutout to Mabel, one of our reactive rehab stars, who joined her very first group class tonight! 🎉🐾

We celebrated with our cosy Christmas café, complete with biscuits for both humans and pups, carrot snacks 🥕, crackers and a few little festive gifts. The perfect way to end the term. ❤️🎄

We’ll be back with our weekly group classes from 15th January. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone 🎅

Can you believe we’re already nearing the end of term? To celebrate a wonderful year of training, we’re hosting a festive End of Term Christmas Special - and we’d love for you to join us!

Create a quick enrichment box using leftover cardboard, scrunched paper and a few treats or kibble sprinkled inside.

Let your dog sniff, shred and search - ideal for enrichment when the weather is miserable!

Remember: always supervise these sessions. 🎁🐶

I’ve officially opened my 2026 diary and we’re gearing up for a festive finish to the year!

Join us this Thursday evening for our Christmas Party Special at Thaxted Church Hall! Expect plenty of festive fun for both humans and dogs alike.

🐾 Only 2 1-1 spaces left before the new year - pop me a message if you’d like to grab one.

We’ll be wrapping everything up on 20th December as we head into our Christmas break, ready to return in January with a bang!
