We need to start using land that has been used before, (brownfield) knock down the old buildings and replace with better homes. Wildlife will disappear, its bad enough with the wild Deer unable to run free, with so much land taken up for new homes, how many dead Deer and other animals, will we see on the roads.. If your still thinking of that nice get away holiday, THINK, before booking your HOLIDAY, and make sure you have booked a Space for your pet (s). So many people leave the pets to the last minute, it is then customers call, and find out everyone has beaten them to it. At the moment, home boarders have become an issue, as they are letting down a lot of owners at the last minute, with no where to go. Owners are telling us, they have not paid a deposit, so there seems, no repercussions if, at the last minute they say no. All animals boarding, Cats & Dogs, and Rabbits, will need yearly vaccinations, and be up to date on the day of boarding. Dog`s need the Kennel Cough vaccine, and this MUST have been done 14 days or more before boarding. Remember all CAT`s in the UK, now need to be micro chipped or face a fine. We hope this above information will be helpful to you. Book early to avoid disappointment. Enjoy your break, knowing your pets are well looked after. Booking your next holiday, having a weekend away.

People may find this a pointless post, but ALL of our bees are in decline and during the day they need to drink.
1. Place a small tub or dish in your garden.
2. Fill it with water.
3. Add some stones or floating objects to provide landing spots for bees.
4. The bees will appreciate the water source for hydration.

Well 1 customer did not read our terms and conditions before boarding, (or did, but wanted to make up one`s own rules.) the person was told over the phone, we do charge for giving tablets, had to ask them to call the vets, as they had forgot the vaccine card, or pop back home, or we could call them, but we charge for doing so. Cancelled their next booking, saying we over charge. Seemed happy, but become unset, as the person had not listened to a word I had said..... Yes we charge for Tablets, and we needed to see the Vaccine card before entry... We do have our rules we keep to, including our open times 10 am to 12.30 and 4 pm to 6 pm... Sorry if I smell I`ve been cutting the grass......I`m sure most won`t mind, jobs need doing. Kevin...

when submitting your booking forms online, please check the dates and your phone number, before hitting the submit button.
Use your phone, click the camera button, do a photo of what you are about to submit on the screen in front of you,
that way you will always have a copy with you, until its deleted.

Get your dog or cat microchipped
You must make sure your dog is fitted with a microchip and registered on a database by the time it’s 8 weeks old.

From 10 June 2024, cats in England will need to be microchipped and registered on a database by the time they’re 20 weeks old.

You can be fined up to £500 if your dog or cat is not microchipped when they need to be.

Updating your details
You’re responsible for keeping your pet’s microchip information up to date, for example if you move house.

Contact the database company your dog or cat is registered with to update any of your details.

You might be charged a fee for updating your pet’s microchip information.

Getting a dog or cat
You should ask for proof a microchip has been fitted before getting a dog or cat.

You can ask to see any of the following as proof:

vet records
pet passport
You may also be able to see microchip information in the dog or cat’s pet insurance papers.

You must make sure your pet’s microchip details are updated.

OUR INSURANCE, WILL NOT COVER ANY TYPE OF XL BULLY FROM TODAY 19/01/2024 BOARDING AT OUR KENNELS, ( 5 STAR BOARDING KENNELS & CATTERY ) DUE TO THE EXTRA HIGH FEES BEING ASKED FROM THEM.
THE LETTER IS ABOUT THREE PAGES LONG AND NOT MANAGEABLE FROM THE LIST OF THINGS WE ARE BEING ASKED TO DO.

BELOW IS A LIST OWNERS NOW NEED TO COMPLY WITH.

Please read through the following checklist with deadline dates.
We appreciate this can be overwhelming.

This ban only applies to XL Bully dogs. There are other established breeds such as those recognised by the UK Kennel Club that may meet some of the characteristics of the XL Bully breed type. These are not within scope of the ban.

A suspected XL Bully breed type does not need to fit the physical description perfectly. If your dog meets the minimum height measurements and a substantial number of the characteristics in the official definition, it could be considered an XL Bully breed type. If you think your dog meets the minimum height measurements and has a substantial amount of the physical characteristics set out in the official definition, your dog may be in scope of the ban. This includes if it was not sold as an XL Bully.

Registered keepers of XL Bully/types will need to apply for exemption from the ban.

Once the dog has been neutered a veterinary confirmation for of neutering document is needed. Once filled out and signed by the registered keeper, give to the veterinary practice who carried out the procedure for completion and submission to DEFRA.

At home, ensure all doors & windows are secure

Garden fences should be at least 6 ft

Garden gates should be secure and locked

Private property / No Access signage on gates

Prevent direct access to the front door

For your dog get a well fitting muzzle that allows them to pant, drink & take treats

Train them to feel comfortable in their muzzle

Get a well fitting harness, with a safety link to their collar

Have a good quality, strong, long line to allow them more freedom where appropriate

Ensure they are under control at all times.

ID tag must be up-to-date. This should include the registered keepers name, full address and current contact phone number/s

Ensure not to breach any other part of the Dangerous Dogs Act
