What a brilliant Friday afternoon great to see all the dogs improving today during their scentwork class and hearing comments from owners “it’s lovely to see him with his tail up and not barking in a class with other dogs” “ I can’t believe how well he is doing it is really helping his and my confidence to be around other dogs” this is why I love scentwork giving your dog a job to do helps their confidence so much ❤️🐾🐾
After that I had the pleasure of massaging this gorgeous boy who was so relaxed today it was lovely to experience ❤️ he is an older dog but owner has said “since he has been getting his massages he is more puppy like on walks” ❤️🐾🐾

Second training session with this gorgeous puppy him and his owner did really well, today we were working on disengagement, jumping up and loose lead walking and then the hailstones happened 😳 followed on 30 minutes later with beautiful sunshine 😂 ❤️🐾🐾 if you would like to have a chat about puppy/dog training drop me a message and we can have a chat 07968882088 ❤️🐾🐾

If you see a dog (or even owner!) wearing yellow ‘markers’, please simply STAY AWAY.
(eg yellow ribbon, yellow vest, yellow lead, yellow muzzle .. you get the gist …)

Try not to get any closer.

These are the ‘’yellow’’ dogs of the world.
They are wearing something yellow to let you know they need a bit of extra space.

They need this extra distance to feel safe.

And when they feel safe, with a big enough distance, (as determined by the dog, not the owner!!! And certainly not the stranger they meet) they will (mostly) behave in a calm manner.

I say mostly, as there are also dogs that get ‘frustrated’ because they want to say hello, but they are on a lead and therefore cannot. For these guys, distance is a challenge. They STILL need distance, but for a different reason, as they are working on self-control.

A little distance goes a long way in helping out our dogs, and their owners.

We will always holler out a thank you when we spot you giving us that extra bit of space.

So THANK YOU in advance for the next time we (don’t) meet!
