Reactivity Training Fund 2024 is open!

The fund aims to support owners who are determined to work with their reactive or aggressive dogs to improve their quality of life and increase safety of our neighbourhoods.

The funding is available for 10 eligible owners, selected based on a review of funding applications. Successful applicants will receive 75% reduction of the cost of a specialized 6-week training package focused on resolving reactivity and aggression issues.

By mouthing and play biting with older dogs, puppies learn bite inhibition (soft mouth). So, if your 3-5 months old puppy mouths (bites) you, don't panic and punish her, but use this opportunity to teach her to be gentle instead. Soft mouth will pay off in her adulthood as the risk of a serious bite (to people or other dogs) will be reduced to minimum.

Agree but with a little caveat. Sometimes the unwanted behaviour at home is rooted in deeper issues (like lack of confidence or anxiety) which can and should be addressed in various environments to bring a long lasting change.
