Well done Maggie for being well-behaved at the pub last week 😝 Maggie was calm and relaxed, even with all the distractions around her. This is the result of lots of settle training, where I taught her to lie down on a mat and focus on me. I used positive reward-based training, which means I reward her with things she likes whenever she makes the right choices. This way she learned to associate her mat with something good and to ignore the things that could stress her out or make her bark. Now we no longer need her mat all of the time.

Positive reward-based training is a great way to teach your dog to work around distractions and to have a strong bond with you. It’s also fun and easy to do. If you want to learn more about how to train your dog or puppy in this way, contact me today and let’s get started.
