Dexter ❤️🐾

This beautiful boy has been coming to me since he was 18 weeks old and he is really settling into his grooming sessions.

He finds the high velocity dryer a bit scary but the ‘Happy Hoody’ helps to reduce the noise and always makes Dexter much more accepting of his blowdry.

Well done Mum on keeping Dexter’s grooms regular!
It makes a huge difference and I think Dexter is starting to really like his grooms!….(we’re still working on his nail trims, but we’re getting there! 😉)

A warm welcome to this beautiful lady to Betsy’s Boutique !

Pip required Handstripping, then some sc******ng to tidy her gorgeous ears, legs, feet & tail.

This type of groom is only available to dogs that have not been clipped previously and have a coat that is naturally strippable.

For Spaniels, it involves banding the coat and pulling out the loose fluffy undercoat leaving a beautiful shiny weatherproof top coat.

Today we worked on Woody feeling more comfortable with his hind legs and belly area being groomed. He also gets quite anxious with the sound of the clippers so we need to build up slowly to clipper work so as not to overwhelm him.
Patience, lots of reassurance & treats are all this gorgeous boy need 💙🐾🐾

This young lad (just 10 months old!) is smashing his big boy grooms now!

This time we worked on Jet having his face & eyes trimmed…something he’s always been quite uncomfortable with. Lots of reassurance, praise & treats work really well for him.

He’s also gaining confidence with having his nails trimmed.

Maisie ❤️🐾 🐾 This little poppet still has some very real fears of the grooming process due to negative experiences in the past. 🐾 Being groomed doesn’t have to be scary or uncomfortable and Maisie is starting to realise that. 🐾 Shorter but more frequent visits, familiar toys, treats, praise & patience is the way forward with this one. You’re making great progress Maisie!! 🥳
