This morning was Element 7 of 'Let Your Animal Lead - Starting Your Canine Journey'

A live teaching demonstration with one of the students and her stunning boy Balou a Labrador aged 5yrs. Guiding Mirjam in offering him remedies with the students observing.

In this short video clip Balou is being offered sandalwood aromatic water. A lovely interaction from Balou. Then he demonstrates he wants to lick the water, & chooses to lick it from his carers hand.

A really very interesting session for the students to observe. A great learning opportunity for us all, especially as we were joined by Balou's companion Pip part way through the session & they changed roles! (Have to tune in again to see Pip)

Just spent a brilliant morning teaching Element 2 of 'Let Your Animal Lead - A Further Journey' to the group of very enthusiastic students.

Delving deeper in to the world of essential oils expanding our understanding & knowledge to help us further in facilitating self-selection & choices for our dogs!

Spent this morning teaching Element 6 of the workshop 'Starting Your Canine Journey " covering 'Nutritional Supplements' 😉

Offering our dogs self-selection & choices !

What supplements - such as dried herbs, powders, algae, clay, vitamins and minerals together with fixed & macerated oils are beneficial for our dogs?

How do you know which supplements your dog needs?

How do you offer the supplements?

What problems or issues are they known to be selected for?
How to we offer them to our dogs giving them choices?

As dog guardians we are so used to being prescriptive on what our dogs should have and how much they should actually be given as directed by the information on the label!

Dare I use the word controlling ?

This interactive, pilot workshop is designed for dog professionals—including trainers, behaviorists, groomers, shelter workers, walkers, doggy day care and veterinary staff—interested in integrating hydrolats into their practices.

Hydrolats, are gentle, water-based plant extracts known for their therapeutic properties safe, effective, and simple to use when working with dogs.

I have just spent a brilliant morning with a great group of students as we started our further journey into the world of self - selection and choices for our dogs.

Involving a little recap & refresher, digging deeper into remedies, challenges & homework with just a little fun! 😁

Just spent another great morning teaching Element 5 of the workshop 'Starting Your Canine journey'

Todays session focussed on understanding trauma issues. How can we help our dogs overcome trauma both physical and emotional.

Together with fears and phobias especially from noise. thunderstorms & fireworks.

Also dogs who are labelled as having specific behavioural issues.

I have just spent an interesting morning teaching the tenth session of the workshop 'PET'.
Always some new information and ideas to be shared - today rabbit holes to be re-explored! 🐇🐇
An integral part of the workshop is discussion, which is always so interesting. Together with just a little twist of active group participation😉

This morning was Element 8, our last session of the workshop 'Starting your canine journey'.

We discussed important topics including Canine Cognitive dysfunction & Pallative care.

Thank you so much for today's session together with what has been an interesting workshop to teach! 🙏

Teaching the workshops I always learn so much from the students and their dogs.

I can provide the knowledge and guidance of the therapy & remedies but ultimately it is the guardian that truly helps their dogs. This is an amazing modality but it is not a magic formula nor a quick fix!

It is about time, patience & understanding. Together with deepening trust (in some cases creating trust), deepening your relationship and your emotional bond.❤

Whilst this may have been the last element of the workshop
their journey has now started and continues with Let Your Animal Lead 💜

This morning spent - teaching Element 4 of our on line workshop 'Starting Your Canine Journey'.

We looked at pain and inflammation issues together with tumours and growths.

Considering pain & inflammation is such an important aspect - sadly many of our dogs suffer in silence. They are so stoical.

How we can support our dogs by self-selection and choices in offering key remedies, including topical applications and to observe & understand their responses.

Always so much to consider and think about, how we can give our dogs choices. Remembering every dog is an individual 💜

Together with the importance of looking at gut issues and digestive remedies.

What about our dogs carrying out the activity of geophagy, coprophagy or pica? Dogs eating grass? WHY🤔

Today was Element 7 of Starting Your Canine Journey.

A lovely morning spent in a 1 to 1 session with the gorgeous Liv a Saarloos Wolfdog aged 9 months, supporting & guiding Gea her guardian in offering her remedies.

Liv reminded us that every dog is an individual, this means that every dog has an individual approach to the remedies and how they engage with their selection. Liv was very clear in her choices.

Here Liv is working with Violet Leaf absolute offered from the fingers.

This morning in 'A Further Journey' we had a follow up session with Dona after her session a week ago. It was very interesting to observe her choices & how she engaged with the remedies today. In the short clip Dona is offered St Johns Wort Co2 extract. Her guardian has the extra on her fingers and rubs her fingers together. The remedy is a thick and waxy consistency so this action warms the remedy making it more pliable (easier to work with) & also reduces the intensity of the aroma. Thank you to Mojca & Dona for another lovely & interesting session. ❤
