Cass the sass enjoyed her morning stroll through the woods yesterday where it was cooler. We did some extra sensory enrichment, where she sniffed out some scattered treats which helps to tire her out without having to do as much physical activity. We also had plenty of water breaks. I absolutely love her, she's like Tigger on extra springs and is so, so loving 😍🥰

Wilma and Ralph had a house visit today rather than a walk. I got soaked from playing with Wilma in the pool 🤣 then dried off again from Ralph climbing all over me 😍

Two new starters for regular walks this week! Romeo the retired greyhound and Coco the maltipoo 😍 (both from different houses). I love these two, Coco is the sweetest little thing and Romeo gives the BEST houndy cuddles 🥰

It's a warm one out there! Today I visited Rosie, Reggie & Violet for a nice relaxed wander around in the shade. Early lunchtime was Cooper the lab puppy, where we did a nice short sniffy walk around the trees, and lots of cuddles. Then Wilma and Ralph stretched their legs along the grass before heading back inside where it was cooler for cuddles and treats. The last dogs of the day had one of their humans home and it was a bit too hot to walk, so I headed home to see my menagerie and start the never-ending housework! Have a lovely weekend everybody 🌞💞🐾

My beautiful, gentle, affectionate, and yet utterly bonkers girl Eva is 13 today... I can't believe how the time has flown. She's sporting more and more grey hairs these days, and she can't walk as far as she used to, but she still has her larger than life personality. She rules this roost and she doesn't let us forget it 😄 I love you to the furthest stars and back again, my beautiful girl, and then even more. You really are a hound in a million ❤️

🌴‼️ Important Information - Holiday Pet Sitting ‼️🌴

I'm now fully booked for 2024 for holiday pet sitting where I stay in the owners home (overnight stays). I may be able to accommodate bookings of up to two days, however, bookings for several days at a time (e.g. 7 day holidays) are now unavailable for 2024.

Please note this does NOT affect daily drop-in visits for small animals such as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs etc - these are still available 🐈️🐰🐭

Legally, all dogs must wear a collar and ID tag when out in public, which must detail their owner's name and address.

They must also be microchipped. Microchips sometimes, however, move - making them hard to find. And sometimes details are not updated, so a back identification tag helps our neighbourhood wardens reunite dogs with their owners, also keeping communities free of stray dogs.

Neighbourhood wardens have the power to issue a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) (fine) of £100 for failing to meet any area of the PSPO.

It is an offence in County Durham if you:

🐾 Allow a dog to foul without picking it up
🐾Allow a dog to stray (ie allow a dog to wander or roam loose/exercise without a responsible owner)
🐾Fail to put a dog on a lead when asked to do so by an authorised person (council staff such as neighbourhood wardens or Durham Constabulary police officer)
🐾Walk more than six dogs together at any one time
🐾Allow dogs into a designated fenced off play area (play sites affected will display a sign), or a designated tennis court, multi-use games area or sport pitch
🐾Fail to put your dog on a lead in designated cemeteries and graveyards

Jonesy and Willow's owner told me they may not be the most sociable of cats. Not to worry, though - I received a lovely warm welcome from them 🥰 head bumps, purrs and cuddles.

A warm welcome to Pippa! ❤️

Pippa is a beautiful soul inside and out. She's a golden retriever and she's one of the happiest, friendliest, most affectionate dogs I've ever met. I met her dad yesterday to carry out a meet & greet, and I'm visiting Pippa three times this weekend to keep her company and give her breakfast and tea. I absolutely love her to pieces 😍 she's holding her much loved "emotional support duck" in the first photo! 🐾

I got some fancy new tags today to make sure your dogs are always carrying my information as well as your own 🥰 each one is double sided, with "I'm out with my dog walker" on one side and my business name and mobile number on the other. Hopefully they're never needed but you can never be too safe! ⛑️

📢 🌞 HOT WEATHER 🌞 📢

We're having a spell of warm weather at the moment, and whilst it's a welcome change for most people, the weather can present problems for our furry friends. Please be assured that their health and welfare is my priority at all times.

I'll use my professional judgement to determine whether planned walks can go ahead - this may vary for different dogs as some are more sensitive to heat than others. I haven't had to alter or reschedule any walks yet as I've gone to shady areas and places with water. However, if it becomes too hot to walk them, please don't worry - your dog will still see me at their allocated time. They'll have the opportunity to toilet in the garden and I have plenty of indoor activities up my sleeve to keep them entertained whilst also keeping them safe from the heat. I'll keep all of my clients updated if anything needs to change for the safety of their canine companions.

We can also discuss the possibility of moving their walk to earlier in the day, then a quick pop-in at their usual walk time.

Today was beautiful 🌞 we took it easier in the sunshine and had a few extra water breaks.

I was at the allotment first thing, then out with Reggie, Violet, Rosie, Wilma, Ralph, Jabba, Lexi, Teddy and Winnie 🥰

This morning I had my regular allotment visit, then walks with Teddy, Jabba, Winnie and Lexi. A nice chilled day 🥰

Lunchtimes are getting busy but I still have a midday walking slot available on Mondays 🐕‍🦺🚶‍♀️ and there are some morning and afternoon dog walking slots available throughout the rest of the week 🐾
