Bodi just has to have a post about how he’s getting on in his new home 🏡
When we got Bodi he was pretty shut down. He didn’t really want anything to do with anyone. He wasn’t good to catch, he didn’t really like being fussed and just about allowed me to tack him up. He only ever got ridden a handful of times with us due to him being so shut down and needing some tlc. He did also really struggle with putting the bit in his mouth, so much so I stripped him back to the total basics and started teaching him how to go bitless. Whilst doing this work with him he started opening up and I started seeing a more affectionate side to him. After a month of work with him he ended up coming when called and would stand all day to be brushed and had had a first ride bitless. The only thing we didn’t accomplish was putting a bit in.
When I sold him I was looking for someone who would dedicate so much time to him to create a bond with him and show him life wasn’t so scary. And I found just that in Emma Clark . They were a match made in heaven 🥰
She has spent the last few months bonding with Bodi and giving him all the love in the world. Which has all paid off as today he has had not only a saddle on for the first time with her, a rider on board again and a bit in his mouth! I am so unbelievably proud of this boy and how far he’s come 🫶🏼
