Today’s top tip. If your dog is a wriggly worm being checked over pop some squeezy cheese on a likki mat and let them lick it off while you check them over.
Playing in the rain
Maybe we should all embrace our inner Efa and Penny and simply play in the rain.
Today’s top tip. Thank you Efa for the back ground narrative 😂
Such a clever girl! Typical boy, switched his hearing aid off and then just wanted treats 😂 this week all the dogs are learning to touch the tree 🌳
We so enjoyed the sunshine today. We enjoyed our walk on Cam Peak. Having 5 walking dogs as a group means being extra vigilant and having super tasty snacks to ensure a great recal.
Recall training a Beagle, how hard can it be? To unlock the secret to good recall, get in touch today!
Missy loves a new toy. Even if it’s a cats toy! Bit small for you Missy, swapped out for a tennis ball. Which she promptly ignored. Also taken away from Missy today; my Winnie the Poo stuffed bear my gran knitted for me when I was a kid (about 38 years old, definitely not yours Missy!).
Watch for Bertie making his demands. Ham. That is the demand.
Chilling in Coaley with the gang post walk. This was after trying to search for mice, checking out the decking by the shop and looking adoringly at me for treats. I think Caroline wants some nice photos 😂 I think the dogs would like it to be summer so they can share ice cream 🍦
Shh 🤫 dogs are sleeping 😴 and two of them still are after Cousin Trucks departed back to Devon ❤️
Berties best day ever! Thank you William for compiling and editing.
Bertie features quite a lot, because he’s just so funny and entertaining.
Countryside 101 with Kate.
What to do if you come across a prone sheep (or beagle).
Last year we rescued 2 prone sheep around this time of year. Obviously secure all canines with a friend before helping a sheep.
Ever wondered what the magic word is for recall on a walk? There’s no magic word, it’s what the gain is for the dog when they come back. All my dog walking dogs know that squeezy cheese means just that!
Young Efa enjoyed her first group walk, her recall was on point. Casper and friends were very accommodating and calm allowing Efa the chance to have fun and not being too crazy. Group walks consist of time on and off lead, so that dogs don’t get over stimulated.
