Borders Pet Rescue take in dogs, cats, small animals & Exotics that are no longer able to be looked after in their present homes for whatever reason. We receive no funding and rely totally on donations from the public to fund our work.

This cat has turned up at a house in Melrose Gait, Galashiels. She was not a regular until last week. She is reasonably tempered though she has her limits. She has a white blaze on her chest.

Our Galashiels Borders Pet Rescue Charity Shops, has managed to restock our pet corner! - There is fish food, cat food, dog beds, pet bowls, dog and cat toys and loads more! Pop in for a look and see if you can grab a bargain

6 ½ yr old Midnight (black girl) and Marmalade (ginger boy) are looking for a new home through no fault of their own. As they came in as a pair we are initially looking to find them a new home together.
They have met visiting dogs and children but have never lived with them and tend to hide when they’re visiting so may prefer a home with calm older children and no other pets.

LOST CAT
A large black cat with a small white patch under his chin on his chest, very friendly is missing from The Linn in Kelso. He is microchipped.

Connie is such a loving girl, she loves human company and can never get close enough to you. She is finding being in kennels quite difficult so we would love to find her a home where she won't be left alone for long periods. 11years old Millie is a neutered female looking for a new home. She’s use to kids but needs a home with no other cats or dogs.
She loves attention when she wants it.

They are doing great, they’ve really settled in now. Pixi remains wary of men and doesn’t like to have a lot of fuss made (except when she’s hungry!) but Penny is a real softie and loves cuddles and a warm lap to sit on.

Would you like to learn more about caring for Hedgehogs? Borders Pet Rescue are hosting Vale Wildlife Hospital for a 1 day First Aid, Care and Rehabilitation of Hedgehogs on Friday 9th February and Saturday 10th February at Edinburgh Zoo.

3 year old Oreo is currently recovering from her neutering operation but will be ready to go to her new home in a few more days. *Max's 6-month Adoption Update*
"We were away for a few days over Christmas, two other dogs and 15 people in the same house and Max was a very good boy. He is very sociable and on the go most of the time so it was nice to get a pic of him flat out under the table! He loved his long walks there. His favourite Santa present is the squeaky seagull."

After 16weeks at the centre, Jasmine has found her new home! A very good start to the new year for her and we are so happy for her. She looks like she has made herself right at home.
6 year old Midnight and Marmalade are looking for a new home together. They have only recently arrived at the centre but they seem like a lovely pair. They have not previously lived with other cats, dogs or children but have been around other cats and visiting dogs and children. They can be a little shy but are said to be fine around them. A little update for the lovely Minnie, the cat brought to us following an RTA. She has been back at the vets for further X-rays and unfortuately the X-rays showed that her pelvis is still broken. She will need to stay on cage rest for another 2 weeks and then have another review. She is such a lovely girl, so brave and resilient.

Just look how happy and settled Bonnie and Breagha look after just 1 week in their new home. 🥰 They look like they have always been there and their new owner has said they are doing great. We are so pleased for them.
You might remember Minnie from our post a few weeks ago appealing for information about her. She was found with her pelvis broken in 3 places after being involved in a road traffic accident. Sadly no-one has come forward for her so we will be looking for a new home for her once she has recovered from her injuries. She is currently on strict cage rest and is doing really well but she still has a long way to go. She is such a friendly girl desite everything she is going through. Lets all wish her a speedy recovery 🤞

We are still urgently looking for information regarding this cat who was brought into us last week after being found in a layby just outside Earlston. We believe she may also have been in Kelso recently. She appears to be well looked after and she's a lovely girl but we are just looking for her owners to get in touch with us to provide any medical/vaccination history they can.
