We’ve recently donated to Dogs Trust, and were so touched to receive a thank-you email from their team. 💛

They shared that right now, their resources are more stretched than ever—but their promise remains the same: to never put down a healthy dog.

For over 50 years, they’ve given thousands of dogs a safe haven, loving care, and a fresh start. And their support doesn’t stop when a dog finds a home—they’re there for life.

☀🐾 Turn Your Garden into a Doggy Paradise This Summer! 🐶🌿

Summer’s almost here, and it’s the perfect time to make the most of your outdoor space—with your dog by your side! Whether you’ve got a big garden or a modest patio, there are plenty of easy, enriching ways to keep your pup cool, happy, and mentally stimulated.

💦 Splish Splash Fun
Set up a shallow paddling pool for supervised water play or let your pup dash through the sprinkler! It’s a brilliant way to cool off and add a splash of excitement to their day.

👃 Sniff & Seek Adventures
Hide a few treats around the garden for a scent-based treasure hunt. It taps into your dog’s natural foraging instincts and offers great mental stimulation—plus, it’s a game they’ll never tire of.

🎾 Tug & Fetch Time

🔍 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵! 🐾

Every year, thousands of pets go missing in the UK—and heartbreakingly, many are never reunited with their families. Microchipping gives your pet the best possible chance of finding their way back to you if they ever get lost. But what exactly is a microchip, and why is it so important?

📌 A microchip is a tiny device—about the size of a grain of rice—that’s placed just under your pet’s skin, usually between the shoulder blades. It carries a unique ID number that links to your contact details on a secure database. It’s quick to implant, doesn’t hurt, and lasts your pet’s entire lifetime.

📞 If your pet is found and taken to a vet or dog warden, they can scan the chip and contact you straight away—making it the fastest and most reliable way to be reunited.

📅 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄?
There are new laws in place to help protect our pets:
🐶 All dogs must be microchipped by 8 weeks old
🐱 All cats must be microchipped by 20 weeks old (as of June 2024)
Failure to comply can result in fines, so it’s not just important—it’s a legal responsibility.

🩺 Only vets, trained pet professionals, or authorised implanters are allowed to carry out microchipping. Choosing someone qualified and animal-welfare focused ensures the procedure is safe and stress-free for your pet.

🕒 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘢 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳:
A microchip is only useful if the details linked to it are correct. If you’ve moved house or changed your phone number—take five minutes this Microchip Month to make sure their info is up to date.

Your pet’s safety starts with a chip and continues with your care. 🐕🐈💛

Branch Owner Jo from We Love Pets Cranleigh has been lucky enough to spend some time caring for three handsome boys while their regular groom is on annual leave 🐴❤️

It’s been a lovely change of pace—and clearly a hit! Jo’s already booked in for another holiday cover next month, and has now been asked to look after them three days a week going forward.

Hi, I’m Nanette. I own the East Grinstead We Love Pets branch and I am currently looking for in the local area who want to borrow some wonderful dogs!

This will suit people who are retired or are . This can be a bit lonely and isolating sometimes, so being a part time dog pawrent could be the perfect thing for . You can even get paid for each pooch you look after!

If you’d love to borrow a dog or if you know anyone you think this would suit, please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you! 🐾🐕

I have some flyers that I’d like to put up in the community, can anyone recommend any places they think might be happy to help.

Hello, I'm Nanette 😊 We Love Pets East Grinstead branch owner.

I will be launching We Love Pets East Grinstead from the 1st of March! I am currently completing my training at the excellent We Love Pets head office.
