Comb & Collar opened in 2015 is a south east of England based pet care services in the wonderful idyllic setting near the Ashdown Forest designed to care and love your pet as much as you do! I have worked in police kennels, day-care centres , with the RSPCA and numerous boarding kennels in my past, I also have four of my own high energy dogs which I do competitive sports with such as Agility, Cani

cross and Trick training, I offer a wide range of services from Grooming , dog Walking, Training ,home visits, tones of advice and love plus much more, Walks on the Ashdown Forest and use of local secure fielda where possible and tailor make package walks with dogs in groups with similar ages and energy levels• On the forest where there is room to play, run and have more freedom although careful attention is paid to livestock and other forest users to limit unwanted attention and ease of stress levels for your dogs for a happier , healthier more enriched dog walking experience .My grooming services are home ran 1 2 1 and offer anything from a basic bath and brush to a full groom, Hand stripping , clipping, puppy cuts and De-shedding even pre show prep!I also offer small animal boarding , as well as home visits from Felines to larger animals such as livestock and Equines, I am level 3 grooming trained where I studied at Brighton college , Worked previously with police dogs and have four Diploma's in dog behaviour, training as well as First Aid and puppy CPR. Fully insured with pet plan Sanctuary , DBS checked and registered with the National dog walking association along with an Ashdown Forest walking Licence. 🌟 Warrior Spaniel Splash 🌟

It's been an emotional couple of weeks for us, our beloved boy Ash was found to be anemic and after lots of bloods and scans we found a large tumor on his small intestine 😔

He was otherwise in great health with a healthy heart so after some very emotional days we decided that we would put him under anesthesia to try and remove the mass under the circumstances that if it turned out once opened up it was all over him that we would make the best decision for him to send him to rainbow bridge 🌈

Luckily however the op was a success and surgeon said his other internal organs looked good. He is now on the road to recovery, after 2 blood transfusions , 3 different vets and multiple critical care stays , he is now enjoying small walks , his blood is slowly improving and he is definitely happier in himself 😃

We are waiting on more thorough tests on the mass to determine if we can do anything for him for the rest of his life now living with cancer. At 12 and a half, he is a true Warrior ❤️

Heat !! 🥵

Rest assured, you wont find burned toes here ... no concrete walking !! I am one of those incredibly lucky dog walkers who have the use of the Ashdown Forest.

I know places that are shady all day long which are considerably cooler, along with rivers and me carrying 💧my van being fully air conditioned and with crate fans 😀

If need be, walks over the summer will be cut shorter and there is obviously always the chance that walks will need to be cancelled but I will always come let dogs out in the garden to toilet if no one is home ❤️ 💕

✂️ 🧼 This is gorgeous Lucy who is a Cairn Terrier , on the right you can really see the difference in the stripped coat on the left hand side of her and the remaining hair on the right ...

Doing this by hand with a stripping knife is no easy task ! But Lucy is always well behaved ❤️

🐮 I came across these beautiful guys this afternoon, my dogs demonstrating how to behave around livestock.

Always keep your dogs under close control when in the livestock areas on the forest , or leaded if you have any uncertainty about how your dogs will behave or if they will make chase or poor recall.

However, if you get caught up in amongst cattle or they approach you be sure to let your dogs go ! 🐕 🐄

Meet Bailey , he was walked by me whilst owners where on holiday but enjoyed himself so much that he has a permanent spot once a week , he's a big show type lab but has the loveliest personality and is well behaved 🐻 ❤️

🐍 I found this gorgeous Adder on my journey back to the car today ...( With dogs leaded thankfully! ) a first for me on the forest , lovely markings and quickly moved off into the brush!

We had a great but exhausting time at Paws in the park doing agility today , All 4 dogs ran a couple of runs each and I did 12 runs all together 🥵 Rosa was the golden achiever of the day with winning the combined 3-5 Agility and coming 2nd in the graded 3-5 agility, 1 more win to grade 5 !!! It was lovely to see so many friends and people doing well supporting each other ❤️

Happy April everyone! Hope everyone has enjoyed an Easter break 😊 Here is a short video of March ! A mixed bag of weather, but fun was had all the same 🐕

Murphy has been a little naughty with recall around excitement recently, although the past week I've been trying to whistle train him , today he was a good boy 💙

Bilbo is now a Tuesdays boy rather than a Wednesdays... Young Murphy thinks he wants to be play buddies but Bilbo isn't very brave !! We will work on it Bilbo ! 💪 🐶
