I've been looking after some of my furry mindees for a while and others not so long, but each one of them I consider as my own and it gives me great pleasure to have the opportunity to care for and look after them.

Since there is no doggy school during Christmas and New Year, I'm ever hopeful that my furry mindees will behave themselves

Auntie Annie's Christmas Dog Rules

1. If you see Santa.......chasing him is not allowed, nor biting him

2. Don't assume all presents under the tree are yours

3. If your humans want to put fake antlers on you…… just let them, hopefully the humiliation will only last 5 minutes for the family photo

4. Don’t p*e on the Christmas tree………won’t have a happy ending

5. Don’t chew any wires that are on or around the Christmas tree…….. not a good look

6. Don’t chase the cat up the tree…… or make it the star at the top

7. Don’t eat anything off the tree…….. won’t be pretty sight the next day

8. Mind your manners……. we’ve worked hard on this all year

9. Not all humans will appreciate your welcoming routine

10. Please don’t steal food…… turn on the charm and beg calmly

11. No worktop surfing…….. any drool will get you in trouble

12. No slobbering on the lovely lady from 3 doors up…… definitely won’t be appreciated

13. No drinking out of anything that resembles a glass

14. Don’t start howling when Uncle Bob starts singing karaoke …… you’ll be sent to the dog house.

I want to say a very big thank you to the Mums and Dads of all my furry mindees for giving me the job of looking after your V.I.Ps this past year. I enjoy my job immensely and I get great pleasure from it, treating each of my furry friends as an extension of my own pack.

Sadly this year I've lost two doggies, Frasier, a Beagle and Brodie, a Tibetan Terrier. Both are sadly missed.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2023. XX

As much as we love this weather, our four legged friends would much prefer to wait for a cool breeze before going for a walk!

Signs of heat stroke include vomiting, excessive panting and seizures. If you think your dog is experiencing any of these, move them to a shaded area and slowly wet their body with cool water (not freezing). Immediately call a vet.
