Let’s talk “PINK MOULD” also known as “Serratia Marcescens” it’s important to know that it is not actually a mould, it is a bacteria that is found in water and dirt.

🦠It’s an airborne bacteria, your bathroom can become a pathway to get into other areas of your home!

🦠 Pink mould can become problematic for those who have compromised immune systems or recovering from surgeries.

🦠 This bacteria thrives in warm, humid areas and lives off fats and minerals which are found commonly in soap residue, shampoos and other bodily wastes.

We have scrubbed, bleach bathed and revived this bathroom.

Today we removed everything from a clients porch,

Freshened the skirting boards, light switches, dusted away any hidden webs. Hoovered any debris, mopped and then once it was dry we applied our brand new protective tile sealant.

Tuesday Tidy Tips! - We are often asked how to keep the house tidy when we aren't there - so we have put together a few tips and tricks for you all.

1. If you have 30 mins before the school run for example, set a timer and assign 10 minutes to a few rooms and prioritise - what would make the room look tidier? Whether that be picking up the toys, fluffing the sofa cushions, tiding the clutter on the coffee table etc

2. Put your favourite music on to help motivate yourself, you'll be surprised how much it helps.

3. (Especially handy round Christmas) - Aim to store your cables with the gadget they belong to otherwise you’ll just end up with a box of cables and wires not knowing who or what they belong to. Simply wrap a sticker around the wire and use a permanent marker and write down its paired electrical item. We’re a nation of hoarders and a recent survey revealed there are enough cables and wires in UK homes to circle the earth five times.

4. Flat surfaces - Tend to be a magnet for clutter, bags, post, empty wrappers etc. I have found if you 'dress' the area people are less inclined to interrupt that. For example put your placemats out on the kitchen table with a vase of flowers, candles, crystal arrangement. Whatever takes your fancy.

5. Don't swear the small stuff, don't be hard on yourself if you can't get into the mindset. Get yourself a cuppa and try again later.
