Cornbury House Horse Trials exceeded all expectations with its incredible standard of competition & hospitality, for not just riders but owners, supporters & spectators. We are so lucky to compete at this venue. None would be possible without the drive & vision of , along with his team for making your event "The Event" of the season !!!
Smurf and George were excited to be selected for one of three GB teams to compete in a friendly against the Irish where the team finished 3rd. They scored 34.5 in the dressage and then jumped a double clear in the 2* S to finish 20th out of 50 rides, they were 10th going into the xc but unfortunately they picked up 4 time which moved then down the order. (George needs to put his foot down more๐Ÿคฃ). Such a great experience for George. Thank you to Lizzie Baugh Eventing for all your help. Well done to who was part of Georgeโ€™s team. Great to see Rua doing so well in the pony Trial.

A couple of photos of Q from the weekend doing there first 100 together at Epworth, we were really happy how the young horse went as itโ€™s there third event together. Unfortunately George forgot his dressage test twice and got 6 marks added on so got 37 which should have been a 31, rolled one pole and clear xc.

I was wondering if anyone of my friends can help? We are looking for saint that is suitable for a 9 year old girl. She had a loan pony but unfortunately the owners taken the pony back with no notice and the little girl is heartbroken. ๐Ÿ’”
If anyone can help us find a suitable pony that would be brilliant. To be kept on a family farm.
Ideally 13.2ish, suitable for showjumping, XC, pony club rallies and camp, general all rounder. We have a stable available. To buy or loan please message me on 07966455770 or
Sam on 07985 646977 if you can help.
Thank you ๐Ÿ™

We can finally relax, first stop was the youth championships Bishop Burton Equine Centre. Where george was part of the East Midlands 2*L team. Despite a couple of big mistakes George pulled off a 35.7 test. Then onto the xc where George and Smurf stormed round the xc to be clear inside the time which moved them up to be 9th over night. Next day which is George and Smurfs strong point, but as it was Georgeโ€™s and Smurfs first 2L together he wasnโ€™t sure how Smurf would come out on the final day and over rode him down the related distances and rolled a couple of poles, but Smurf was on fire and finished 11th in there first 2*L together, which we were delighted with ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. We had an amazing week and a massive well done to all the other East midland riders. A massive thank you to all our coaches and sponsors. Next stop was a flight from
Humberside airport on Sunday to Paris. Arrived at 20 past midnight to be met by Andy and Ed in the campervan, then be up at 6am next morning to get ready to watch the eventing showjumping where we witnessed the brilliant team gold and individual bronze medal. Rest day today by the pool. A massive thank you to Lizzie Baugh Eventingfor all you help and support, Nicola Baguley for all your help and support and and a massive thank you to Sophie Louise Dawson for looking after everything at home and my beautiful Frankie and Vivienne and her lovely friend who collected snurf on Sunday to bring him home.

I love you so, so much.

This is my favorite photo of my beautiful wife. Itโ€™s from our wedding day in 2021 and it was the best day ever. People will talk about G's smile, and it was incredibleโ€”it would make you feel like you were the center of the universe. But what I love about this photo is how it captures her strength. She was a strong, beautiful, phenomenal woman who just loved everything and everyone.

Working in the equestrian world is not an easy life; there are a lot of knocks and dark days. But G would navigate this by throwing so much joy and love at every situation. She would get as much joy from having a Greggs tea on the way home from the gallops as she would teaching a client in the pouring rain or jumping and galloping around biggest courses in the world. It was just incredible to be at your side and feel this energy.

Iโ€™m so proud to be your husband.

Rest in peace, my beautiful girl.

I donโ€™t want this to sound like a thank you speech, but there are some people that Iโ€™d like to acknowledge and thank. The team at Bicton, who were beyond words in their care for Debbie, Diana, and me in the immediate aftermath; Tim, Jonelle, and their beautiful kids for getting me through the first 24 hours; and the Wolf Pack for being there ever since. There have been so many incredible messages of support, and Iโ€™m sorry for not getting back to more of you, but please know that they have been read and are so appreciated.

Seeing the purple and white ribbons has been amazing. But on an even more basic level, when youโ€™re out competing this weekend, please just smile at each other, donโ€™t feel awkward about laughing, and above all, try and love everything and everyone.

Totally fed up with the weather! The poor organisers at Belsay had to cancel today, our favourite event of the year. This was George jumping the Newcomers yesterday, Iโ€™ve never seen rain like it !!!!
