We are looking for another person to join our team. Saturday and/or Sunday roughly 5/6 hours each day. General yard work, must be confident in dealing with horse’s. No under 18’s.

We are a family run livery yard based in South Wheatley, between Retford and Gainsborough.

- We have a purpose built American barn, stables are 12x14 and come fully rubber matted.
- Floodlit 50x30 ménage with an all weather surface and a full set of show jumps
- Rotated, individual grazing paddocks
- Excellent hacking
- Trailer/Lorry parking
- Secure and alarmed tack room
- Wash box for bathing, clipping, shoeing etc.
- Rug drying room
- Feed room
- Toilets
- Kitchen
- Quality hay, straw and shavings available onsite
- Instructor onsite, but welcome to bring your own
- We live onsite

The Highway Code has changed from today (29.01.22)

When driving, you should now pass horse riders and horse-drawn vehicles at speeds under 10 mph and allow at least 2 metres of space. Check the changes, let’s keep each other safe.

A friend of mine has a companion horse that needs a new place to live! He’s 15hh, lives with mares and gelding and is very easily pleased. owner doesn’t want to sell him, just wants him retiring and would prefer him to be local!
Any thoughts anyone?!

Loose Box on tour!

So Tillie and Annie, Emma and Prince, myself and Tillie’s mum, Tina went off to XC training yesterday evening, and what a brilliant session we had! 😄

Tillie and Annie are a relatively new combination together, but tackled the XC like they have been together years!

Emma and Prince haven’t been out XC together in 2 years, so was great to get them back out again and blowing away the cobwebs!

At the end of the session the ponies had a little play in the water. Some needed more encouragement then others… right Prince?! 😉 💦

Gridwork lesson set up yesterday for one of my regular clients.

We opted for gridwork, so it allowed the rider to improve her balance and rhythm over the fences, and to encourage her horse to bascule and use his power from behind rather than falling onto his forehand and running flat.

Showjumping day!

On Sunday a few of my liveries/clients attended Hill House Equestrian for a showjumping competition, so I popped along to play groom. 🙂

So super proud of them all, and they all did a fabulous job on their ponies! 😍

Such a rewarding part of my job, seeing my clients progress, improve and ultimately enjoying time with their partners in crime. 🥰

What on earth is this weather?! We must of had all 4 seasons within 24 hours! 🤣🌸☀️🍂🌧

Luckily the horses have large, spacious Loosebox’s completely undercover to keep them away from the elements. Equally, even in the summer, the barn is lovely and cool, keeping the horses comfortable all year round! 🥰
