So today I have had a really bad google review from a dreadfully rude customer with one of the worst attitudes I have ever had to deal with in my 13 years of this job and I don’t think she took kindly to me telling her so. I will miss her lovely cat she is such a lovely little happy girl. Sometimes nothing is good enough and there is just no pleasing some people despite every effort to reassure them that their cat is happy…. Look at the video that I sent to this customer within an hour of her dropping her off 😻 happy cat that’s what matters to me.

I’m off on my holidays again with my daughter from Tuesday 18th June until Monday 1st July
Don’t worry Adrian will still be home looking after all your cats whist I’m away. Adrian can take your bookings (to be specific for ppl that don’t understand) ring the cattery but if you could wait until I get back on 1st of July that would be really helpful.

When you are on holiday and you get txt messages, WhatsApp messages and emails from people who know that you are on holiday saying

I’m off on my holidays tomorrow with my daughter and grandson.

Hi everyone
The good news is we won’t be putting our prices up this year.
Bad news is we are not opening on Sundays at all anymore.
I know the hour that we were open was busy but we managed ok. Unfortunately there’s always someone that spoil it for others especially when they write us a bad review because she only got 10 mins of my time on Christmas Eve which was a very busy Sunday. It’s very disappointing when you put so much work in

Policy for booking/payments

Boarding terms
No bookings will be made without all the information that I need
The cat/cats Name/s
The Day
The Date
The Time
For both your drop off and pick up and this must be within my opening hours
These times are on my website and fb page

Payment terms
By bank transfer at least 2 days prior to dropping your cat/cats off or
By cash on the day you drop your cat off.
No cats will be boarded without payment.

This is to reduce the amount of messages and phone calls that I get being batted back and forth to agree a time slot.
To prevent and reduce any potential errors in payment.
Far too much of my time has been taken up with this leaving me little time to care for your cats.
Any amendments to your booking will have a £5 charge as this has been getting out of hand

Hi everyone

Booking your cat/cats in and paying for their stay

It is with a great deal of thought that I have made the decision to post this.
So many customers are taking up so much of my time through laziness of their own that it is impacting on the amount of time that I can spend with the cats so I need to put a stop to this.

NO BOOKING WILL BE MADE WITHOUT THE CORRECT INFORMATION

I’m getting too many customers not booking in correctly
If I do not get this information:
DAY
DATE
TIME
Of your drop off and pick up then the booking is not complete and won’t be made.

ALSO PAYMENT
Payment for each booking should be made at least 2 days before your cats arrival by bank transfer or on the day you drop your cat/cats off in cash
I DO NOT HAVE A CARD READER
I know most prefer bank transfer which is why you all get an invoice with all this information on it a lot of you don’t seam to read it. There is no small print on there it is very straightforward

This is not DFS buy now pay in 6 mths time.
Neither would you expect to walk out of the supermarket and pay 2 days later

Last year I found this totally exhausting. I was chasing so many customers for this information

This is a business and I have over 700 customers not just the one
If I was so vague with your booking as you are and there wasn’t room for your cat/cats when you arrived you wouldn’t be happy

You don’t rock up for a flight whenever it suits you and expect to get seat do you

For all those wonderful customers that always booking correctly and pay when they are meant to pay 😻
Thank you so much for respecting all our time and efforts that we put in to caring for your lovely cats it means such a lot to Adrian and myself I wish everyone else could show the same respect.

Just a polite notice
This I why we have to have opening times. When you pick your little furies up we have to empty all the pen. These litter trays have to be washed then bleached then rinsed then put out to dry. All dishes get washed daily. Bedding has to be washed and dried. All the pens need hoovering out then every surface washed down. Then the pens need re dressing ready for the next customer…. So just think about the minimum wage as this is only part of our job.
Next time you are thinking or calling in because my gates are open as we have family round or if you are asking me to let you in late or early just think about the hours we put in here and how we don’t always even manage to get breakfast until 11.30am never mind start cooking our dinner

I have also changed my Sunday and bank holiday opening times for pick up and drop off’s
This is to give me a better life style balance. Working 7 days a week all year round is proving a little difficult. I really need days off but fully understand that you all like your cats home as soon as possible so I’m offering a quick pick up/drop off service on Sunday and bank holidays for you all instead of closing.
All bookings has a miimum charge of a 3 day stay
SINGLE CAT
1 cat - £11.00
MULTIPLE CATS
(FAMILY PEN)
Minimum stay 3 days
1 cat - £17.00
2 cats - £17.00
3 cats - £21.00
4 cats - £26.00
EXTRA LARGE
FAMILY SUITES
Minimum stay 3 days
1 cat - £22.00
2 cats - £22.00
3 cats - £27.00
4 cats - £32.00
For any additional cat in any pen £5 per day
Visits are by appointment only, please respect my opening times.

Looking for a new home

This is 20year old George
He’s a very loving cat and is in amazing heath having no health problems at all.
He’s an outdoor cat so his fur does need a brush every day which he enjoys very much.
His owners are moving to another country to be with their family.
With George being old the fear of both the travelling and the very hot weather wouldn’t be very nice for him so it is with great sadness that the owners feel he would be happier if he could find a new happy home
He would be ideal for an elderly person with him being a senior himself and being so affectionate

This video has just sprung up on fab. I love these little video’s. This is my George (known as the white thing!) for a very good reason. Not many of you will see him as he is very shy with people but if you have 4 legs then you are fair game haha he is no different as an adult as he was as a kitten. Little lovable terror! Ps you all thought I was joking when I said the cats in the Cattery were living like royalty when we 1st built it but we was definitely not! 😺

Due to quite a few customers in the last few day returning from their holidays with COVID it is advisory that all customers wear face coverings/mask when dropping off and picking up their cats.
This is for your benefit not mine, so if you are not worried about spoiling your holidays being poorly with covid at least think about me being in a high risk environment and exposed every day. Thank you 😺

Lost cat……has anyone seen Billy
Hi one of the neighbour’s cat’s has been missing for 2 day on Blyth Road. He tends to venture around the Mantels and the gate house. The owner doesn’t have a photo but he’s all white with a tuch of tabby colour if on his tail. He also has a section of his ear missing due to surgery. Thank you
