Well here is my Best Pickle, first full groom since the end of August. Understandably, he wasn’t too keen on me working around his head/ears/neck but we took it slow and he did so well. He even let me pluck the fur from inside his ears. This doesn’t hurt them but you do need to be trained how to do this so please don’t try it at home. Not all dogs need it either. He also had quite a few matts due to the cone he had to wear for several weeks but I managed to keep some fur on his ears and I was able to save most of his beard thanks to a wonderful conditioner, detangling lotion and patience!
2 hours 45 minutes later, he obviously felt like a new dog. He definitely had a better aroma about him too! He was so happy afterwards, he had the zoomies and went and got all his favourite toys! Oh my heart heart. ❤️
Update on my best pickle
Heading into week 4 of his recovery. Keeping 🤞💙
Just look at this beautiful boy, ready to go home after his groom. Otis had his second puppy groom with me and, as you can see, we’ve already built trust and a lovely friendship. I didn’t want him to go home!Such a gorgeous boy and a wonderful nature. 🐾♥️
