Happy Easter to all our wonderful clients and their fabulous doggies and a big thank you for supporting us since we opened our small business in 2018 ❤️🐶 ❤️🐶❤️🐶 6 years on, with regret, it’s time for a small price increase. For some, it will be the first in 6 years, for others, since 2022.
It won’t be much, less than a coffee in a cafe 😳 Increased running costs, rent and utilities will mean there will be a £2 price increase for small dogs 🐶 Medium and large dog prices will be notified on the reminder texts we send out in advance of your appointment 👀 Looking forward to soggy muddy doggie walks over the Bank Holiday weekend 😱🥳

Here at the Board Groom, we are fully qualified City and Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 dog groomers. We are fully trained in First Aid and are comprehensively insured.

We only groom on a 1-2-1 basis unless you have more than one dog from the same household so no mixing your dog with other dogs.

We never leave your dog unattended whilst in our care. We do not use cages to ‘house’ your dog whilst waiting for collection. We never use restraints, ‘groomers helpers’, belly straps, drying cabinets, neck chokers or any form of restraint. Just ‘handling’ incorporating positive rewards with praise and high value treats.

We want your dog to enjoy coming to us for their groom, not to be fearful, nervous or anxious. We work with your dog to fully enjoy the experience, we want them to walk in to our salon, tails wagging and fully engaged. Happy doggies ❤️

We want for your dogs what we want for our own. A positive experience.

Just a quick mention as we’ve found quite a few grass seeds lately.

Grass seeds can easily brush off long stems of grass and land on your pups body. They can cause all kinds of problems, necessitating in a trip to the vets.
The pointed ends can get trapped in your pups coat, they can burrow down and pierce their skin. They can also get stuck in your pups paws, ears, eyes or nose. It’s very uncomfortable for your pup, like having a sharp needle embedded in their skin.

Common signs to look out for include red or swollen skin and licking or biting the affected area, shaking their head or suddenly and violently sneezing. If you think your pet has a grass seed, call your vet for advice.

Tips to keep grass seeds away
- avoid long grass
- always check over your pup after a walk, especially their paws and ears
- regular grooming and hair trimming

To all our lovely loyal clients and their doggies 💕 Just a note to say there will be a very small price increase for our small and medium dog grooming prices with effect from 01/04/2023. Our utility services and product costs have increased significantly over the past year which we are sure you can all appreciate.
