Our large hall is available to hire for birthday parties.

For £60
🎉 you have 3 hours, to set up, have your party and pack away,
🎉full use of the kitchen, tea, coffee and squash for children,
🎉access to the sound system ( you arrange your own entertainment)

🥳We also have a under 5's small soft play package for £20 extra. ( +£30 deposit which is returned when equipment is checked)🥳

Wednesday's are full of activities and support for mums and carers
Join the Little Cubs Toddler Group from 10.30 to 12 ran by Family Fun Gatherers .
Then at 12.30 join Latch on Breastfeeding Support until 2.30pm
To finish the day Little Lions afterschool club is on from 3.30 to 4.30

The Community Fridge and cafe will be open again on Tues 1pm to 3pm and Weds 10.30 to 12 midday.

Last week over 50 of you helped prevent food from going to waste and made those pennies stretch a little further.

Please note that it is ONE shop PER HOUSEHOLD. By doing this it means that what we have, can go that much further.

We would like to ask you NOT to start queuing before 12 as we do not always have volunteers to let you in before 12.30 and we don't want you getting cold outside.

Well, that was a chilly start to 2025! I hope you are all managing to stay safe and warm.

It has taken me a few days to get back into the swing of things after the break but it's good to be back.

We have been looking at how to keep improving the centre and the activities that take place here.

I've been looking at the garden and I can't wait for the spring 😄🌿🌾

Take care of yourselves and wrap up warm. We still have a selection of coats in the lobby, just pop in if you need one.

Tues - Community Fridge and cafe 1pmto 3pm
Youth group 6pm to 8pm

Weds -Little Cubs Toddler Group 10.30 to Midday
Community fridge 10.30 to midday

Thurs - Foodbank 10 to midday
Friendship club 1pm to 3pm

Fri - Bridge Cafe 12 to 2pm.

We work hard to keep the centre open to the general public at regular times too. This week

Mon 9.30 to 2pm
Tues 9.30 to 3pm
Weds 9.30 to 12 and 2.30 to 4pm
Thurs 10 to 3pm
Fri 9.30 to 2pm

I hope everyone had a good holiday season. The Centre is waking up again after the holiday break !

Eastbourne Scrap Store was back open yesterday and it was very busy!
I wrestled with the Christmas trees and a spot of tidying to make sure the Langney Community Centre is ready for the week.

Lots of groups start again this week including, little Cubs Toddler sessions, little lions afterschool club and LatchOn - Breastfeeding support Eastbourne .

Don't forget the community fridge and cafe is back on this Tues 1pm to 3pm and Weds 10 30 to 12.

I look forward to seeing lots of familiar faces and hopefully some new ones too!

Come and join us for our last Little Cubs Toddler Group this year! For £2 per family, the little ones can have a bounce and play and you can chat to others with a cuppa ( there may be some mince pies on offer too !)

It's hard to believe we are heading into the final week of activities and sessions on at Langney Community Centre. 🎁🎅

It's been a very busy year and I have loved seeing how busy the centre has become.

We welcomed LatchOn - Breastfeeding support Eastbourne and Eastbourne Scrap Store this year. The Family Fun Gatherers have put on a wide variety of events. We started hiring out again for children's birthday parties. Towner Eastbourne had their Findings launch party. The Community Fridge and cafe switched rooms ( it has been a great success!) Plus many more things.

I am very lucky to manage such a wonderful space that is filled with the most amazing community groups and people.

The centre will be closing for a couple of weeks (from 3pm 20th Dec to 9.30 mon 6th Jan) Our amazing team of volunteers need a chance to reset and recharge.

We understand that Christmas is not a wonderful time for everyone and having a safe warm place is vital so I will try and share places that are open during the 2 weeks we are closed.

I would like to thank our local community for continuing to support us and the volunteers that keep us going.

A reminder that the 17th and 18th December are our last Community Fridge sessions this year.

We would like to thank FareShare Sussex & Surrey , Rooted Community Food ,Eastbourne Food Partnership CIC and Bernie Brady-White and gang for their help this year in providing and preventing food waste and making the pennies stretch a little further.

The Community Fridge will be open as usual on Tues from 1pm to 3pm and Wednesday from 10.30 to 12.

We will open the doors around 12.30 on Tues to get you out of the cold 🥶

For £2 you can get up to 10 items.
Don't forget there are the coats for Christmas in the lobby and a selection of other clothes.

Remember "Take what you need and can use, leave what you don't"
