The Organising Team has decided that Old Town Fete will come back in 2020 with a brand new look .... Old Town Fete began as long ago as 2008 and apart from one year when it was completely rained off, and 2017 when it rained half way through, it has been FABULOUS ... great space, great community spirit, great activities and entertainment - thank you to everyone who has taken part ... see you in 2020!

Such a lovely afternoon at Old Town Fete yesterday ... Many thanks to all the volunteers who took part ... the weather could not have been more perfect ... all takings go towards expenses ... PA, generators, and mostly the advertising (which can never be enough!) ... we broke even this year, but have had to bear losses when the weather is poor ...

The annual Old Town Fete - run by local people for local people, takes place tomorrow, Saturday 21st July, at Old Town Rec in Longland Road ... non commercial ... fun, activities and info for all ages ... free entry ... novelty dog show, pony rides, face-painting, peppa pig, tree explorers, messy church, over 40 stalls, novelty dog show, side-shows, bouncy castle, foods, ice-cream, entertainment from Old Town Band, The Remnant Gospel Band, and Eden Blue African Drummers ... 1.30 to 4.30 pm ... just turn up!
