โญ๏ธ Happy Veterinary Receptionist Awareness Day! โญ๏ธ
Here at Eastbourne Vets we have a fantastic team of receptionists; Annette, Jane, Sharon, Sienna, Sarah and Emma. We'd like to use this day to thank them for all that they do.
They are your first point of contact and often provide our clients with a reassuring word, listening ear and box of tissues and a chat when you need it most. They really do go above and beyond to ensure the smooth running of the practice, and we are incredibly proud of our team of amazing receptionists! ๐
๐ฐ KEEP YOUR BUNNIES FROM BOILING! ๐ฐ
Pet rabbits are vulnerable to heat stroke in the summer if they do not have adequate husbandry in place.
They MUST have a cool, shady area to access during the day with access to fresh water always.
They should NOT be kept in small hutches that are subjected to direct sunlight as the sun moves across the sky in the daytime.
They should be cleaned REGULARLY to avoid them becoming unwell and attracting flies that can lead to flystrike.
If you are concerned your bunny is exhibiting signs of heat stroke; lethargy, shallow breathing, not eating, not moving about like normal, drooling, get them to the vet ASAP as quick action can save their life!

๐บ MICROCHPPING ๐บ
From June 10th 2024 it will be compulsory to have your cat microchipped in the UK.
Microchipping is included as part of our Pet Health Club, and is a quick and easy procedure that can be done during a consultation with a vet or a nurse. It is recommended, as it helps us identify cats in the unfortunate event that they become lost or harmed.
So don't delay, book your cat in to be microchipped before June 2024!
