🌾Poor Bella came to see us today after not one but two grass seeds (foxtails) had managed to work their way down into her ear canal!

The owner spotted that something wasn't quite right and her ear was very painful to the touch.

Delicate removal under sedation was required for poor Bella. 💙

☹️ These grass seeds can cause a lot of discomfort to your dog. With their sharp and pointy design, they can bury their way into pretty much anywhere given the opportunity. Most commonly in-between digits of the paws so it's always a good idea to inspect your dogs feet after they have been in grassy areas.

Signs to look out for are excessive head shaking or scratching at the ears and sometimes holding their heads to one side.

UPDATE we are very happy to say owner has been located. For the frenchie handed in.

Polite reminder. It is the law to have your dog/cat microchipped.
It is important because it allows your loved fur baby to be returned to you quicker 😊 we all know how sneaky they can be when not looking. Remember to update your details If you move/change contact details.

Please help us to congratulate Pet Doctors newest Registered Veterinary Nurse, Becky! 🌟

Becky has been a huge part of the Pet Doctors team for almost 7 years. For the last 3, Becky has worked incredibly hard training, giving your pets the care they need as well as sitting her exams and passing her final practical examination (OSCE'S ).

We are so proud of her and wish her many more happy years in her new role as RVN. 👏🏻 🩺👩🏻‍⚕️💖

Refurb update
Great news . We are slightly ahead of schedule. We will be open Mon, Tues and Weds this week for food and medication collection.

A warm welcome back Mia ❤️ 🎉

She has been off on maternity leave and now back with us and looking forward to being back to work.

Mia qualified in 2014 after completing her training at Pet Doctors Chandlers Ford. She then became one of our Senior Nurses.
She has a very mischievous chocolate labrador called Bear.
Outside of work Mia likes to spend time with her family and going for walks with Bear.
